She could be the female Morrissey.

hmm, maybe in idiot world, but most rational people would see she made one innocuous comment. He spent decades spewing bile

I see your point but I think the people that appreciate this album as a great album would have done anyway. If the ridiculous furore brings it to a wider (some paying) audience that’s a good thing. Those reducing it to a vehicle for ideology would never have been actually listening anyway.

Impressed that Haslam was one of the few that spoke out against the hysteria.

agreed

I was joking.

I think there are a lot of sensible people who can separate music from perhaps a couple of inadvisable comments, either in terms of opinion or the way it was expressed. I don't think she'll have any issue selling out her upcoming shows.

So I was trying to get balcony ticket for Roisin at the O2 in Glasgow. None were available, so I thought they'd sold out real quick. Turns out they never went on sale. So they're expecting maybe a half full venue. Can't believe she wouldn't come close to selling out that venue... Very strange!

Today could be, second to Brexit, the most important day in British politics in well over 100 years. Praying the British public do the right thing.

It’s a complete irony that as the likes of France moves far right, UK might end the day with Labour having 75% of all the seats in Parliament. Enough to make even the Russian “parliament” blush. I think the Tories are going to be almost wiped out, amazed if they get 100 seats. Democracy is amazing. Easy come, easy go…

The fact is the Tories have only themselves to blame; there's such a long list and everyone's been affected by some of it. Far too long to write here!!

Put that to one side, it's very disappointing that it's only the third-placed party (Lib Dems) and the Scots Nationalists that want at least the single market (our freedom of movement) back, the others (Cons, Lab and Reform) completely rule that out.

While not big this election, things like the NHS, cost of living etc have precidance, when profiling/biometrics/ETIAS comes in making travel even more difficult, when shortages from the EU begin to bite and Labour wonder why our economy isn't growing Brexit may become a hot topic again. I can only hope!

Meanwhile, as a Libdemmer lending my vote to Labour - and voters in other countries would be astonished by that, but they have proportional representation, we don't, I'm hoping my lot can be the opposition ahead of the Conservatives.

Pretty sure The Greens do too.

While I do prefer a Proportional Representation model in principle. Days like today though show how easy the system is to just wipe a party out if people want to. For that purpose it has value.

im 32 and shocked by how many people my age have been drawn in by the reform party. I suppose that is their aim, to appeal to the working class. I am great believer in that if voting made any difference, we wouldnt be allowed to do it.

Oh great, a General Election :D

Where we get the choice of voting for (or replacing) a bunch of useless, self serving, corrupt shitweasels with another bunch of useless, self serving, corrupt shitweasels.

I’ll be glad when it’s all over by the weekend. We will have a new PM that we can all collectively loathe. We have a solid track record, here in the UK, of voting some absolute belters into power.

My favourite thing about politics is how politicians only seem to have these good ideas & the means/will to implement them in the run up to an election. Strangely, never during their period of power.

Things can only get better 😄👍
