Pacha restaurant

Dinner and straight to the Clubo_O No thanks
It works for me tbh, nicely primed !
Booked a table for the restaurant this year as I've done in the past, difference with this year is they have a new reservation policy where they have two sittings, the first being at 9pm and the second at midnight. We usually went to the restaurant for 10 - 10:30pm on the basis we'd be 2 - 2.5 hours by the time we got there and were finished our meal and drinks and ready to head into the club, making our way into the club for 12:30 or 1am worked out ideal. Wasn't keen to go for the midnight sitting and not overly keen on the 9pm as this seems a bit of an early one, especially by Ibiza standards.

Other thing I was thinking about was how does a restaurant cope with a load of people all turning up at same sitting time, everyone will be looking to order drinks soon after being sat, then order food...................how does a bar and kitchen cope with all the orders coming in within a short space of each other??

I've worked in a hotel restaurant many moons ago and the standard was 4 tables booked in for say 9, another 4 booked in for 9:15, then another 4 for 9:30, that way it was staggered and took the pressure off wait staff as well as bar and kitchen and meant that customers weren't waiting and waiting for staff to take orders or wondering when their food was going to arrive because they kitchen was back logged.

If anyone has any experience of the new reservation policy or due to eat at the restaurant before August 1st it would be good to hear how it went.

Pack em in and pile am high!

The first sitting is way too early so you will end up sat there spending more money til the club gets rockin'

People who turn up for the second sitting will be"well on there way"and wont give a flyin phuck about how much money they spend.

Win win for Pacha.

Is there a bar anywhere within the restaurant you can sit and have a drink at pre or post meal? Have never actually noticed the times I've been.

Yes, on the inside section, not much room though only a few stools.
You could always take some drinks through to the seated entrance area just outside the sliding doors and watch em' all come in.

If we do decide to stick with the 9pm slot they want the table back for 11:30, thinking we could slope off to the restaurant bar for a few drinks before going into the club, make sure we've reached our 90 per head spend....................not difficult :). Other option I'm thinking of is changing to the 2nd sitting but rocking up early, say at 11pm to have pre meal drinks at the bar and hope that there might be a table free asap.

Personally, I always go for a midnight sitting. It suits me going into the club at say 230am. I love the last pacha hour and like to push on through til close.
You can take drinks into the club but let them know as they will put it into different glasses. Don't forget a small plastic miniature bottle stowed about the person for topping up :)

I called yesterday to book Insane next week, and she said 9PM or Midnight. First time I have ever had that! However, on the whole Pacha never really gets going pre-2AM, so should be OK. She said 90€ min spend too.

Can you let us know how it goes mate, keen to know how the sittings thing is going to work assuming there will be a fair few folk turning up at the same time. Have a wee scope around to see how busy the restaurant is, I'm booked in for Insane on Augsut 1st, lowdown on the gig would be good too :)

Sure, will keep you posted! Have to be honest I usually hate the idea of "sittings". So forced. really interested to see how this will work!

How did it go at Pacha restaurant mate with the whole time specific sittings thing?

ah - an alternative to the pacha restaurant which i've just picked up yesterday: in winter, they did FUDE nights in pacha on fridays. now they continue with this project, but on SUNDAYS at pacha and on TUESDAYS at destino.

on sundays at pacha it's a set menu - i'd say big eaters won't be well-fed after that, but a light dinner definitely - which happens on the rooftop terrace of pacha from 10:30pm onwards. it's 35€ per head (including a drink) and yes, it obviously then includes entry to solomun+1 as you're already inside the venue.

on tuesdays at destino it's a menu where you choose from different starters, mains and a dessert I think. it's also 35€, but no party included after that. that said, it's about the only opportunity to eat at destino for such a cheap price!

https://www.facebook.com/FUDE.Ibiza?fref=ts as you need to make reservation or give me a shout, i also know someone who does the bookings.

I went to the midnight sitting for Insane last Friday. Actually got there about 23:40, and was escorted straight to the table. Was surprised how quiet it was last week, only a few tables were occupied inside post midnight.

Wonder if it was quiet due to the new policy of specific sittings, suppose it's still early in the season as well.

Has the menu changed from previous years? I emailed and asked if they could email the current menu and received a reply saying the menu is not available on the website, another message from myself saying I realise it's not on the website and that's why I'm asking if it can be emailed only to receive the same reply except this time it had been highlighted in yellow as if to reinforce the point that i.e no we won't be emailing our current menu to you. It really wouldn't be difficult to go on the computer where they have the menu template ready to print off when needed and send it as an email
