This years music

I agree 100% See you down the front next year, though, yeah:lol:?

Semi seriously, Ibiza will never musically be as good for me in my heyday of 2001-2004 when good old funky house ruled the Bora Bora roost, and before funky house got found out for the nonsense that it probably is.

Nothing will ever beat hearing Sinclars I Feel For U, Kid Creme's Hypnotising, Backfired, Blackwater, ALCAZAR - CRYING AT THE DISCOTECH:D:D:D...

...But then I can never say every year hasn't thrown up a new musical experience that's opened my eyes and made me develop a new taste, and still delivered moments that make the ol' hairs get all perpendicular.

I wouldn't still go there if they were still knocking out the same (now tired) funky stuff, and when you get to my age() you learn the appeal of going to nights out where you don't dictate the musical policy too closely.

But all that "2007 Electro Mix" noise has to go:lol::spank: Just have faith in mankind that no-one thinks it's got legs past another year at most.

We sing from the same hymn sheet Dan!! And yes my friend i will be at the front next year just with broader horizons! It reached a peak for me in 2000 while at Home @ space when one sunny afternoon a certain tune called "Rise" took the roof of the terrace and i stood back and thought to myself "ahhhh the summit":lol::lol:

Oh dear...agree here too. :(

Ah well - still had a brilliant time out there this year...what's the alternative after all?

The rest of the world???

On a reminscing note I had a dream a couple of nights ago where me, Alex P, and some random Egyptians tore down the New Indoor Terrace and re-converted it back into the old outdoor terrace....what could it all mean?!?! 8O

that you've been on the glue

Yeah, for yoga, wildlife, cuisine, culture, mountains, beaches and safaris etc...

...but for partying with such a cosmopolitan crowd to good music - I'm yet to find anywhere that matches it.

As for your dream...bloody typical of those corrupt bastards to source cheap labour.

sorry mate i find it mind numbingly boring, music for people on Ketamine would be a discription for this minimal.

that's entirely your opinion and it's fine for different people to like different things.

ibiza is made up of many different musical scenes. when i go you won't find my anywhere near pacha or the big superclubs because i hate that kind of music.

i'm happy as larry in DC10 or at a vill party or outside party for 10 hours bopping away to what you call "minimal" (i just call it techno)

you don't catch me moaning about other types of music though - i just go there to enjoy the bits that i like, simple as that.

there are loads of places that are easily as good as ibiza if not better for patying!

True True......preaching to the converted here!

But then certain cities - especially Buenos Aires - have a very Ibizan party spirit - we used to leave clubs at 7am on a weekday morning and our Argentian friends would just go home, shower and go to work as a normal occurance, whilst Rio might not have as developed a club scene but the people there party harder than anywhere else Ive been and am off to your fav destination Berlin in a few weeks!

But yeah basically agree that for a 1 or 2 week hol no where compares - which is why we'll both be back next year (fingers X - given how much fun our massive group had this year I think there might be like 40 of us next yr 8O)

And as for the Egyptians - didnt want to get into it too much but they were flogging me and Peesy!8O8O

That's a matter of opinion.

London, Ibiza, Berlin *check*

New York, LA, Sydney, Thailand...all great but don't quite cut it for me.

Not to say they aren't amazing places of course. ;)

Don't want to upset any natives. ;)

Buenos Aires

Aaah now you're talking! ;)

Would love to go there (and Brazil obviously)...as they're the only places on the radar that I've not ticked yet. I'm sure it's ace.

Miami doesn't really appeal though I have to say, but happy to be proved wrong here.

I want to move there - such an amazing city!

Plus with the £ there you literally are a king - with amazing restaurants, shops etc to spend on, quality clubs and a huge but relatively new electronic scene making it very fresh - went to Creamfields BA - AMAZING - though did secretly miss the scallies!

And Pacha BA poos all over Pacha Ibiza - though obviously not Pacha London

I've been to most if not all of the places you've stated above.

Nothing compares to Ibiza. FACT!

Now go deal with that...

everyone to their own Emma, although you hardly come across many lady's at all who like this type of music,i refuse to go to a club where this music is played as i don't wanna mong out or fall asleep i wanna dance and party, but as i said everyone to their own.;)

What a great thread this has turned into.

I said earlier this year when DC10, Bora, Amne.. were all of a sudden closed that perhaps it was time to give the Ibizians back their little island and find new pastures.

It's great now for people to be touting Brazil and Argentina as at least when you go there you will hear some pumping Psy music (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=LCEYRZ8M (instant download))and be encouraged to party on the beaches.

The only issue I see is moving Space, Privlege, Amnesia over to Brazil. Ibiza can keep Pacha.

p.s. Johnny. I love the way you stick up for your tunes and you are right. Thier is NOTHING better than hands in the air, pants at your feet house.
