The building formerly known as Space --> HÏ Ibiza

This is laughable.
I would of thought they would of wanted a new name/rebranding.
 
So we had grand space closing for it not be actually closing!! Hhaa wont be the same without pepe tho. Matutes makes it sound like Pepe was just running space for him

Of course it will. Matutes will fill with 'superstar dj's' and the sheep will flock to it. And by 2017/18 if you asked someone in the queue out side waiting to go in,who pepè was,they'll probably think he is the fella who collects the bottles up and mops the floor... And i believe there are some, on this forum alone who will just 'take it,for what it is'..

This is absolutely correct.
Space first opened as "Space" on Monday July 15th 1985.

Bingo... The fact they'll continue (more or less) with the same name and won't touch the structure just yet should make the transition easier for them!

So pepe basically was manager of the club and never owner of the building or the name. He just knew how to throw a party and did it better than most for 27 years until it was time to retire and then the matutes family took it back to have a go themselves. Why should they change the name when its something they created 31 years ago and has been a success ever since. of course people will say it wont be the same but then ask an ibiza veteran and they will say space hasnt been the same for years already
 
A big Pacha night is leaving right? Maybe Solomun? Already playing at Ushuaia so he could join the new Space and I am sure he would fill the place.
 
Think stivi already said on another thread that the 2 nights rumoured to be moving next year (solomun and music on) are now staying where they are
