Terrible terrible music

Nowadays, probably not...but throughout the 90s it's fair to say that Detroit Techno did have a very distinctive sound.

I agree, during the early 90s Detroit techo was a popular sound. Im prob too young to remember (im but a child when it comes to this sort of thing:oops:) but im guessing it was around the hacienda period... which i love.

do you seriously expect a techno fan to take the comments of a trance fan seriously?

Trance fan? Since when was this, you cock!

But yeah, if you like techno then obviously your opinion is more valid than those who like trance

slagging off the year 2000 for it's lack of musical quality is a bit short sighted, 4 off the top of my head from that year:

Coldplay - Parachutes
Ian Brown - Golden Greats
Richard Ashcroft - Alone With Everybody
Moby - Play
Leftfield - Rythm & Stealth

All good albums. Agree with Robder regarding Leftfield but Leftism is a classic.

Has Ian Brown done a bad album though?? Hasn't sold out either to the reunion tour posse! Mind you has played Roses tunes when he has toured but why not when he hears Squire screwing the arse out of them!

I seem to like most music, but not happy C&W,love the maudlin kind though....
Not too keen on Death Metal...
Think it is pointless stirring up aggravation regarding the very fine lines dividing the "different" genres of House, Techno etc, it's all so interbred, surely it should be one big happy family...:)
