Restaurant reviews

First visit in 12 years coming up on Sunday. Will be staying at O Beach Hotel so any food tips nearby there are welcomed. In the old days for San An I used to mainly eat in the ones at the square round from the West End or in the vicinity of David's pizza place. Looks like David's is still going so will be back there . There was also a Chinese restaurant up that way that was decent enough.

I want a decent standard of food however the likes of the big name sunset bars do not sound my thing for eating e.g. nonsense such as below...o_O:rolleyes::D

I'm looking for places where you can be in and out in 60-90 minutes. But not any grim fast food joints either...

I will also be eating in PdB once or twice as have a hire car. So any recommendations for there also welcome. Again in the old days for PdB I used to just try different ones until I found my favourites, but I'd be surprised if any of those are still the same. E.g. there was also another great place for pizzas round the back of Bora Bora I went to often.
Es Virot, short walk away. Freedom Beach restaraunt on reggae beach in the middle is one of my favourites and never gets a mention. Mainly locals eat in both fo those I find. Both walkable from your hotel so you can have a few light beverages.

On Friday before Akasha, me and the club team ate at San Carlos Bar & Restaurant. Setting and service both amazing. I slightly regret my choice of main (steak tartare - not bad, just been spoiled with better elsewhere), but everything else from starters to everyone's else's mains was great.
We began with provolone, tempura prawns, chorizo and ravioli all to share, then various grilled meats which they specialise in.
Total for 4 pax with several drinks each, including tip = €260

Over in Ibiza Town last night we ate at El Zaguán

Really nice relaxed atmosphere and the good was great. Small bar tapas for 2.90 each and a menu of larger/cooked tapas

We had a few of the bar tapas (the pork skewer was excellent) then some battered squid, padron peppers and some 🌶 spicy patatas bravas

Only 3.60 a Cana too not far from the port

Was surprised at the relatively low prices with it being so highly rated on TripAdvisor

This is great for me for next month as will be having a couple of solo dinners over a long weekend. Place looks perfect with the counter dining.

On that note if anyone has any other places in Town that are good for solo diners let me know!

Is Sushiya Aoyama still there / decent?

Great as wanted somewhere before Sven in September so that sounds fab and great value! Glad you had a nice meal 😊

Thanks for all the recommendations. So far have ended up going old school and just trying places. Ate in a restaurant a few minutes in San An Bay direction from Ocean Beach Hotel (at the start of the beach). Also in old school style I forgot to clock the name! Very nice pizza though, and great service especially as I ate so late after arriving.

Tonight before seeing Sasha I wanted something quick in PdB and some dude touted me into his Tapas bar. Botanica Bar I think?

The food was brilliant and big tapas portions, and so I told the dude I would post a favourable comment here. As he was really working hard to get people in the place which is ridiculous once you realise how great it is, and when you've got big brand fast food guff next to him such as KFC 🤮 . Hopefully will get a chance to go back there on this trip.

Was it Pizzaman? Good grub in there!

Any good recommendations for restaurants in San An bay other than Relish (been a few times already)... Cheers

“The beach Ibiza” is nice we went for a paella last year

Pom Thai - I haven’t tried but a friend went last year and said it was unbelievable

Can also get a nice lunch at reggae beach too

I forgot el kiosko!!

Cool cafe is perfect for that a fairly affordable breakfast / lunch too!!!

DODO GELATO! is a must too for that ice cream fix haha

Looking for recommendations for nice/fancyish places in or around Ibiza Town please - thank you in advance!

Es Virot, Can Puyol and El Gallo Viejo for seafood, El Kiosko for pizza and shawarmas, budget options are Can Soni, Contravent, Piraña and whilst not technically in the Bay, Es Cuco
Is El Gallo Viejo good for meat dishes too? was planning on going for steak there in my trip in a few weeks.

Mariner is good...was trying to remember the name! Sa Punta is not far as well...although that might come under fancy rather than fancy-ish!
