Restaurant reviews

San Antonia Bay:
Es Pueto: (cheap & cheerful if you like seafood and right by the water. Sometimes in the water too!)

Ibiza Town:
Sa Torreta: The best in that busy area through the arch in my opinion. Beautiful setting but try to get a table closer to the wall and away from the crowds, if outside. Great cocktails too.

Peix Cru: Lovely outside setting on Vara de Rey. Excellent tapas (especially seafood & vegetarian dishes) and reasonable wine prices. Same owners as La Brasa but much better value.

Hi guys...Akasha early October for Sven...staying in Cala Llonga, need a place for a late long boozy lunch before Akasha...there have been some good suggestions in this thread for SE but sadly think a lot of them close between lunch and dinner which might not suit...can anyone help? We were thinking maybe Bar Anita but might be risky?

Thanks in advance

I really liked el gaucho for steak but i think it splits opinion 🤷‍♂️
I ate there on Tuesday night, first time this summer. Before my complaint was always that the food was good, but the service was found wanting. This time, the opposite. Service fantastic but food really below par for the price - and I don't think it's obscenely priced or anything, but I still expect better for a €350 meal for 4 pax.

Chicken wings dry and small. €15 got us 5. The tomahawk at €105 to share between two was the worst I've ever ordered. The potatoes with peppers and garlic was a very small portion and pretty flaccid. I'm in no rush to go back, which is a shame because it's very convenient for me

Maybe Es Mirador, on the road to Sant Vicent, I know the lamb is very good there. Same for the sofrit pages, nice and simple family restaurant, never been myself but always heard good things about the place.
It's on my to do list.
Cas Pages other option.

Love the look of cas pages but looks like it closes between 4 and 7...can we turn up at 3 and then have a full lunch?
ideally we want long lunch like 3-5.30/6 and then somewhere for drinks before garden opens...

I think they shut in between lunch and dinner too. Been on my list for a while. Looks lovely.

Maybe you will have to chose a beach restaurant to be sure to have lunch at those hours.

Might not be your higher end type of places but there’s countless amounts of places in SE open all day. We had a lovely mexicans on the promenade before sven closing last year

Before Sven last September/October we just had burgers and chicken satay in Project Social washed down by a couple of pints of Complot IPA, lovely stuff

On my end of August trip also went to David's twice. Was glad to see it is still going and in a completely refurbished restaurant/kitchen. Still doing great4 pizzas and it's good value too all things considered. Very nice staff.

And considering all the new developments in San An also a bit mad to see the old Curry Club site across road is still derelict 12 years after I was last there, with even an old sign still visible.

That really makes me sad. In the very early 2000s, that was our sensible last dinner place, where some would struggle, some would relax and some would decide on one last night out.

This made me laugh, funny how we all, after a week or however long of absolute bedlam, have a sensible last dinner place 🤣

Can remember a mate trying to force his curry down in the hope food would stop 'the brain zaps'. I had to visit him every day for a week when we got home to reassure him all would be well eventually:lol:
