Restaurant reviews

Staying at La Torre for a quick cheeky weekend in a couple of weeks. Finding the booking system for the restaurant a little rigid, thought i might get more flexibility if I'm staying there...

Can only book for 1900 or 2145....1900 seems way too early and it'll still be boiling then?! 2145 seems too late. 2100 would be ideal...I know that they want to avoid people gaming it for sunset...just feels a little frustrating!

I'll probably make lunch a bit later and then go for the later sitting and hope we can have a drink and enjoy sunset before our table for dinner.

Anyone else stayed there recently and had any flexibility?

From seeing @Sassette's post about Bai Bai in Ibiza Town Marina Port, I'm intrigued to try Bai Bai, as I always dismissed that area as full of over-priced tourist traps in recent years.

we tried it a few years back and weren't thrilled - but as I said it's not a recent reviw this. maybe it's gotten much better.

Ha … now I’m feeling the pressure … (I think this one is so far down the front that it has to be a bit more than pure tourist trap … steak and octopus was good)

Edit: now feeling even more pressure with @stivi follow up 😂

Cas Pages?
Merci Jimmy 🙏 c’était pour des clients 🙂! They were looking for something more fancy than the places we know , and I had no ideas 😅
( send them to el carnicero at the end which is not that far but never been myself )
Un abrazo

Tell them to go to Can Pilot, its not fancy but its one of the best of the island, and closer than El Carnicero

First visit in 12 years coming up on Sunday. Will be staying at O Beach Hotel so any food tips nearby there are welcomed. In the old days for San An I used to mainly eat in the ones at the square round from the West End or in the vicinity of David's pizza place. Looks like David's is still going so will be back there . There was also a Chinese restaurant up that way that was decent enough.

I want a decent standard of food however the likes of the big name sunset bars do not sound my thing for eating e.g. nonsense such as below...o_O:rolleyes::D
To book a table in advance at Café Mambo, it is required that your group agree to a minimum spend. From 18:00h - 22:00h the minimum spend per person is €150 for a seafront table, €100 for a regular terrace table and €80 for cocktail bar area and €150 in the DJ booth area.
I'm looking for places where you can be in and out in 60-90 minutes. But not any grim fast food joints either...

I will also be eating in PdB once or twice as have a hire car. So any recommendations for there also welcome. Again in the old days for PdB I used to just try different ones until I found my favourites, but I'd be surprised if any of those are still the same. E.g. there was also another great place for pizzas round the back of Bora Bora I went to often.

There are LOADS of decent eating places in and around San Antonio. It all depends on what takes your fancy. If you want top quality traditional Ibecenco food try Es Rebost de Can Prats, Posher Ibecenco food with a modern twist try the slightly more expensive Es Ventall, if you have a car (or plenty of taxi money) try Sa Soca on the outskirts of town for traditional Ibecenco food in a lovely rustic setting, for seafood try Rias Baixas, for tapas try ummm.... Tapas. For Mexican food try Tijuana Tex-Mex, and my favourite Chinese restaurant is Ling Nam just past the bottom of the West End on your right hand side as if you're walking to the sunset strip

If you like seafood then definitely Es Puetó, which is close to your location!

Al Ayoun Sunset Ibiza is good, and no minimum spend, great view / food.

PDB, come down towards Fig side, where old JD's used to be.. Few Ohana / Vanilla Beach.. Dunes is ok.. Pícaro or Pizza Piadina Bossa are casual opposite Tantra... Exótico Ibiza is decent opposite hotel garbi, or the Garbi's chill restaurant on the beach is good for beach side lunch
