Michael Jackson dead?

he was acquitted, glitter wasn't - that shouldn't be overlooked

however, because he was cocooned in this extra-terrestrial world where the normal rules of adult-child understanding didn't apply, the boundaries did get blurred in his mind as to what was acceptable behaviour - whether he ever actually abused anyone or not, we will never know but no court ever convicted him... I personally don't think he was a paedo, so much as a seriously naive man who tried to recreate the childhood he himself never had

anyway, bored of the whole MJ grief-porn-circus now - just looking fwd to the bubbles custody battle, hopefully played out on prime-time tv every night.

I was 1000000x more upset when George Harrison died, and probably the last time I genuinely mourned someone I had never met.

Amen.

He and his behavior were definitely outside the boundaries of what we'd term 'normal', but a jury found him innocent so we all should reserve judgment.

One nice thing about living overseas is that the grief media circus can be avoided.

I put Wanna Be Startin' Something on the stereo last night at full volume just before going out and it really got me pumped up for the evening ahead. 8)

Chamon... his behaviour was certainly unacceptable but like you say I don't think he realised the harm in what he was doing... other wise he wouldn't have admitted it to the world on TV.

He was definitely blinkered, but I don't really blame him for it. The man had worked for 45 of his 50 years on the planet... by no means a normal life. Although I was a fan from a very young age, I began to feel sorry for him after he passed his peak.

I honestly don't think he was a paedo either... I think, the accusers seen a way to make money and took advantage of a man who was more naive than anyone else alive and probably more naive than anyone will ever be. It's a pity really.

Ditto, no way was he a paedo in the touchy/molesty sense. He over-stepped boundaries because no-one was there to stop him or tell him not to.

I honestly believe he never toucned/hurt a child and that the allegations that he did so hurt him more than we'll ever know and probably massively contributed to his ill-health and reclusiveness in later life.

Brilliant money making ruse!

Tickets offered to Jackson fans

Pictures of Michael Jackson in rehearsal two days before his death have been released

Michael Jackson fans who paid in advance for the singer's UK concerts have been offered their money back or a souvenir ticket as an alternative. Promoter AEG Live said the tickets feature graphics "inspired and designed" by the music legend, who died at the age of 50 on Thursday.
An estimated 800,000 people paid £50-£75 to watch the star perform 50 concerts at London's 02 arena.
The company will not be printing any further tickets as collectables

There was a story somewhere today (the Sun?) that said Janet might do some of the dates. Wouldn't be so bad.

I liked "when I think of you" and that is it. That is her grand contribution to popular music.

Thereafter she just evolved into yet another soulless rnb singer projecting charmless sexual imagery on to our screens...

Disagree.

Velvet Rope was an amazing album. And that's from someone who dislikes most R&B and was never a big Janet fan (except when I was very young and she was just a cute actress on sit coms )

Rhythm Nation was quite an ambitious project. Couldn't say if it succeeded or not but it certainly wasn't run-of-the-mill soulless r&B.

Rob(der) will be well gutted, all those hours on the phone for two tickets

 actually they were fairly easy to score - I feel sorry for the people that paid £'000s for 2nd hand ones. It's not like they will have access to refunds!

Really really (really) sad here - I think it's worse than Elvis...f*ck what 'the line' on what you're supposed to think. He was my hero when I was younger and his back catalogue is amazing.

RIP Jacko - let's hope everyone has the respect to leave you alone now.

- I didn't buy any of the paedo $hit...nor do I read any of the yawnsome tabloids.

I've just seen the final rehearsal pics - wouldn't it be amazing if a dvd emerged? :D 8)
