agree with everything on your post except the above. the US are celebrity obsessed and none come bigger than MJ.
timely incident for obama... the economy, iran, north korea etc will be off radar for a brief period.

First cd i ever bought was the BAD album. Must have worn that thing out. Although later on in life he got very weird its a massive shame as pop music wouldnt be the same today in my opinion without Jackos influence

I heard when I got back from London last night and I thought my mate was joking. woke up to a barrage of joke texts this morning (and I am sorry to admit it, but some very funny!)
When he came up with this mass gig thingy I thought he wouldnt last and it would finish him off - still shocked he's gone before he even started tho.
Give it a week or two of sadness and eulogies from everyone then all the stories from Jordy Chandler etc etc will start coming out as they were bound by legal obligation not to speak about their experiences with Michael before..... not sure if that still holds now he has passed on...

Very sad indeed. "Thriller" & "off the wall" were a big part of my formative years. Hope he gets remebered for his music and not the other crap though.
Disagree Olly, this is an "Elvis" moment definately and will probably more than match Elvis for conspiracy theories etc for many years to come!!
