Hotel discussion thread

Mark Doyle aka former poster @exhedofkandi posted that he stayed the the refurbed Piscis Park, now Vibra something, for £55/night included breakfast last week and that it was alright.....
Coming up at 418€ for me for @2H76's nights, so £92ish a night. Not bonkers, but not far off double last week.

Adelino in SA at £73/night without breakfast HERE

Puchet for £45/night with breakfast via TUI is a bargain I reckon HERE

Is it a major holiday week in Ibiza next week that explains the high prices? NB Ex-piscis park is in San An, not my choice of town! prefer Ibiza itself/Figuretas/Talamanca/Formentera

Think you're pretty stuffed for sub-£100 on that side of town for your dates my friend

Yeah, I'd guessed that but thought it would be quiet and at £55 you can get cabs. Now it appears it would be busy and not as cheap, I rescind my suggestion 🤣

Ah, yes. The Before Times.
Well if the hotels are empty they won't be bringing any money in (and the airlines won't like it either) so it's up to them. It's been a harsh winter money-wise for us Brits at least, and while we will still prioritise holidays over just about anything else, tourists will simply find somewhere much cheaper and go there.

Thought is does Ibiza want to go down the expensive boutique-style route of pricy hotels, thus half the people come but pay twice as much, and leaving just San An for the usual suspects?? Thing is, if they do then that's half the custom for bars, restaurants, clubs and aircraft seats etc on the rest of the island.

I'm looking at Minorca as an alternative, although I do have two holidays already booked for Ibiza this year (normally three) and the rates I got were reasonable.

As a total aside, our dear old Isle of Man has been positively buzzing because my little football team brought over 800 fans to the IoM over a long weekend, very unusual for a small team like the IoM, - sounds rather trivial but the local hoteliers and innkeepers have been flooding the radio and press with how much more income that has brought them, and they want more!! So businesses do look over every spend and know when sales are down/up.

First swim of the year today and I noticed BHS has been renamed as Boutique Hostal La Curandera de Salinas... not sure since when!

A bit of a random question, but other than Ryan's in Figueretas, is there another hotel in the same area that lets you use the pool area even if you're not a guest, as long as buy drinks etc at their bar?
