Unless I missed the news, I don’t think the Spanish government has listed any countries they’d allow in a part from saying they’ll be opening their borders to EU flights on the 1st of July. As far as I know the only announcement so far regards German tourists which can start flying from Monday to the Balearics as a “test”.

You could fly London to Ibiza tomorrow as long as you're willing to make a quick stopover in Amsterdam or Madrid. And by July 1st there'll be no arrival quarantine in most of the EU for you. Spain has confirmed that, in an Ibiza context.

Its just the UK government insisting on the 14 day arrival quarantine for people arriving back from their holidays to the UK thats the problem, thats whats making the package holiday airlines (like TUI and jet2) delay their flight resumption dates.

Just another thing the government has messed up on. Wouldn’t suprise me if their plan is to keep everyone in the UK and holiday here to pump money into the economy!
I said to my Mrs last night if we had nothing tying us down I’d consider leaving the UK. I absolutely hate it here now... this last 6 month has just been one shitstorm after another

And people saying " If we only had the weather we would stay at home" ..? No we wouldn't..
 
while we are still waiting to know details for the balearics' new normality rules, some other regions in spain have already announced that they'll keep restrictions for clubs into the next few months. I hope we get some actual details soon, but I just wanted to put this here so people don't get their hopes up too high.

my current guess is:
outdoors stuff - probably yes, but certainly with limits
indoors stuff - not sure at all, but if they get the OK them certainly very limited only.

I suppose the difference for the Balearics / Ibiza in their decision making around clubs is that they have a significantly higher % of their economy coming from it vs other areas of Spain. Will be interesting to see where they put the priorities.

Even if they do give some sort of go ahead, a late opening might just prove unprofitable for a number of venues, so they wouldn’t even bother

My Dec trip hotel booked for Fri-monday rtn flights from Barcelona - ibiza €14.99 each way booked all so. Dublin- Barcelona Thursday - Tuesday. Still didn't book yet will wait and see how things are after October.. we have someone to stay with in Barcelona on Thursday and Monday so it will be flight only..

Right, but my point is nobody is stopping you from getting on the plane. You said you wouldn't be allowed to fly, which just isn't true - you aren't banned by the UK government (or anyone else) from flying anywhere. Flights are still flying, and you still have the freedom to fly anywhere you want, the limitation is only dependent on the arrival rules for other countries.

And not only that, but you would face no arrival quarantine across most of Europe from today - Portugal, Italy, Croatia etc. And in Spain on July 1st. So those arrival limitations are very soon to not be an issue at all.

So the big problem here for UK tourists from July is not going to be the airlines/a lack of flights, or other countries and their arrival quarantines. Instead its the UK government's quarantine on return policy.

And obviously thats only the UK tourists too - for EU people we can get into most places from tomorrow, and almost everywhere from July 1st, no problem.

Bet they were so happy to be in a club and be able to dance in a normal setting...

I am not sure if I am Ready for that yet.. Even though I am itching so badly for a dance in a club
