What's going to happen to SPACE after 2016?

I can see this getting a bit Disney'fied between Ushuaia/tower/HRH/and Whatever Space will be

Combo pack tickets, multi 'park' access, drinks packages, includes pizza slice from terrace!

'Sorry sir your ticket is only for Ushuaia and Space main room, your not allowed in the premier etage!'
lmao! :D

I said it before, I don't mind the multi access concept they could have going in the future, but I don' know how traffic would be handled between the club and Ushuaia main open air area.

Also, i know Ushuaia gets flack for having cheese ball lineups but I think they'll keep the underground DJs lineup going at Space of they are in fact taking control of it next year.

Ushuaia lineups have got worse each year since it started and now 6 nights this year are Edm cheese. I expect guetta, hardwell, shm and avici to have their own nights at space next year.

Just tried to translate , does that mean he wants to keep the space name , and keep the type of clientele like Ushuaia attracts .

in the article he says they're thinking about keeping the name space as they own the rights. personally I'd be surprised though if they kept the name.

and yes, they wanna go upscale with the venue and mainly focus on the discoteca (and one other room - all rumours).

That's weird because Martin make-peace blog said that they don't own the name so it's unlikely the new luxury club will be space

Thanks for confirming . The translation sites are good but Spanish doesn't translate back to English 100%

"We want to take care and continue with the project to make Platja d'en Bossa an entertainment area," explains Abel Matutes Prats, CEO of Palladium Hotel Group and Grupo Empresas Matutes vice president.
:spank:

What is clear Matutes is that in this new stage the bet is for the segment's most exclusive tourism: "Obviously, we want to keep a disco but we want to dedicate to audiences in which we are focusing, which will be complementary to that will Ushuaïa now. " :spank: :spank: :spank:

Yeah with no La Familia this year, the EDM is really taking over, but I still think they'll continue with the underground artists. Is there really enough support for the sorta dying bigroom scene to justify these DJs costs tho? I'm just happy they're keeping it as a club at least...

IMO this is not a nice way for the island to evolve.

But I can see it is out of control. The guys with the cash want more. F*ck the history of the island. How do we get more rich and milk every Euro we can out of every one.

If they had it their way the whole island would be a 5* resort. Complete bs.

sorry for off: i realized that i didn't see any fanciulli b2b voorn sets in the last months - nowhere. did something happen?

reading between the lines I think Matutes would like a casino on one level, a restaurant on another, and maybe a nightclub at the top. You can kiss goodbye to the Space you all remember. It will be unrecognisable. The clue is in the reference to Ushuaia. That will be the template for the island's nightlife in the future, something completely money-driven and alien to everyone who grew up on dance music.
