The building formerly known as Space --> HÏ Ibiza

what used to be the sunset terrace is open to everyone.
Wicked! So is it the same kind of layout? I mean in the sense you can walk out the back of the old terrace round the sunset and back into main room? Or has that now changed?

I think you have to understand Matutes from his unique perspective. In a yachting mag. interview he revealed that his super yacht allowed him intimate family time in what he feels is truly a paradise. He wants to make Ibiza THE place where the world's billionaires come to relax, to eat & to play. He explained that their lavish spending was night & day beyond even the most affluent of those staying in the five star resorts, & wants Ibiza to be their choice destination. Like it or not, but the big, VIP money, subsidizes a lot of the islands shops, restaurants & yes, the super-clubs. If it helps the islands economy and results in the resources to pull in the world's best, in club after club, then I'm all for it. I LOVE the island, to the point where the quality of the clubs & the acts are just icing on the cake. (with the exception of Paris Hilton - OMG NO!!!)

that sucks to hear... Space Terrace was really great to party in, I can't really put my finger on why.

Well size isn't everything, just how it's used right? Lol

ah yeah I also used to love the space terraza. and even though I haven't seen the finished product yet (because it's still a building site), I personally think that I'll much prefer the club (what used to be the terraza) to the theatre (what used to be the discoteca) at hï.

we've interviewed yann yesterday too so once this is out (will still take a week or so to edit this) you'll get the explanations right off him.

Worlds best what exactly???? All valued members can reply to my question... GO..

It's clear that Ibiza attracts many of the world's best DJ's. Their success is recognized in clubs the whole world over, & by all of the festivals that routinely book them to play. Additionally, Ibiza has become renowned for the natural beauty of it's numerous beaches & coves, as well as for it's incredible selection of fantastic restaurants. People too often criticize those who are successful, without knowing squat about them: possibly out of envy. My objective in researching Matutes, (& nearly everything else to do with Ibiza) was to gain a better perspective of this ofttimes magical island. That's why I'm also interested in Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Ricardo Urgell, Pepe Rosello, & Toni Riera, (Spanish documentary-"Ibiza was a party") amongst many others.
