The building formerly known as Space --> HÏ Ibiza

And for any others if you have not had your perfect night then you been going To the wrong parties for the first 35 years of your life

Well if that's the case why would you wright off ever going to a certain venue? If your perfect night come up with exactly what you love in 10 years why would you not go juts because of the past?
I would very very surprised, based on the demographic they are aiming at now in PDB, that my 'perfect night' will ever happen over there.

Anyway, James Brown has been dead for years

me. while I am almost entirely sure it'll never turn into my fave club and I'm also sure I won't go very often (because of its musical programming), I've let space die in peace. in my case I knew years ago it'll happen and I sort of had my period of grief already in 2015 and 2016 seasons. and to be very honest, something that's been said on here plenty of times ago, space's best days were really when it was still open from 8am onwards. and that's a decade ago now.

as for hï, I know a few things because I spoke to yann personally and if they turn out the way it's thought I have to say there are simply some good ideas around.

But......it's your job to check it out

So long as it has a decent soundsystem and DJs to my tatse I'll be checking it out for sure.
Space has been and gone now people need to get over that and move on.

It is the people, not the club, that I have issue with, and want to avoid

Not everyone, obviously, but in general the type of people that will go to Hi are not the type of people I want to be on the dancefloor with

It's not just 'Space is closed so I'm in a grump'

Glitterbox at Space last year was horrendous, worst crowd ever and I expect Hi to take that to a different level. If it keeps everyone in one place, fair enough. Space as a decent club died in my books when daytime parties were stopped.

Couldn't agree more. In fact i think a lot of Ibiza died when that happened. I always felt the daytime crowd and the night time crowd where 2 totally different types of clientele..

Nothing lasts forever, including bad feeling. Look at Darius & Sankeys.

Plus his return to "old Space" is a stone cold money-maker. Leave it long enough for people to forget how much he protested.

I think the big difference is is that the older folk are not going to still be going Ibiza in 10/15 years time and can quite happily say they wont ever go. Myself being young will see Hi over the next decade and more so I'm not going to completely wright off going to a venue just because its on the same land as another club once was. If the right nights do ever appear I will definitely be going but right now this is not the case

You might as well just tell us 'well you'll be dead soon anyway you grumpy old bastards!'
