the first few dates went well. since coxy started it certainly feels the competition and especially mosaic on coxy opening was both weak and musically pretty bad according to various different independent sources. this tuesday it was also not that busy, but everyone said music was back on a really good level.

I think that if you're a maceo fan you'll have a great night. you won't mind that pacha isn't rammed to the rafters. IMO it's a great new offer and I've always said that if it gets through the first season alright, next year it's going to be much bigger.

Apart from a couple of mixes I've listened too I haven't actually heard him play at a club, always keen to hear / experience new music and events though.

I think you've got your nights all jumbled... Cream is on thursday and Maceo is Tuesday which you mentioned you'll be going to see the big man, likely just got mixed up but just wanted to give you heads up in case you hadn't realized pre-planning

Yeah I meant Thursday not Wednesday :spank:, really not sure about Cream though. Mosaic we'll go to our 2nd week and Coxy the first. This trip yet again being ruled by club nights, it wasn't supposed to be like that this year :lol::lol::lol:.
 
Really looking forward to solid groves now when I arrive in a couple weeks. Anyone got any ideas on good pre/post parties going on for any events bar mambos? I seen solid groves had venue in SA bay
 
OK so I made it to acid sundays last night. my friends were right, that night has lost its very special touch it had last year. saying that, it was by no means bad, but it's definitely not the same anymore. last year it was a proper happening with outstanding performances and decoration, now it's turned into a more normal club night. the music was alright though, it was busy and there was a lot of ibiza scene socializing going on upstairs on the terrace.

I was there last night too, first time so can't compare it to last years vibe. Really liked the venue, big terrace area too.

I really like cirque du soleil and have seen several of their shows over the years, was expecting some weird and wonderful cirque characters walking about but didn't seem to be much that I noticed. Nothing happened performance wise until about 3:30ish maybe, some sort of rope/bondage contemporary dance thing, was alright but didn't really go anywhere.

Music wise it was ok, we left about 3:30ish so can comment on how the music progressed as the night went on, if it had stayed along the same lines I would have got a bit bored.

For us it was the first night of our holiday, an easy night out with friends and wasn't meant to be anything other than a 'wee social'. Glad we went to check it out and would probably go back depending on who/what was on.

Also, heart website and tickets state no shorts, we saw several guys wearing shorts.
 
alright so various people have asked about sundays at space. so far it's always been nicely busy, but not packed (a term that you've read lots lately didn't you?). I just did the floor by floor listing in the calendar for the next few weeks (more to come later) and I think both 10th and 17th july look very good in terms of line ups and what you get in which room. I also believe that by then it'll be much busier everywhere.

--> full price ticket holders get one passout if in before 10pm (someone remember the good old days?)

--> there's a 20€ early entry ticket if you want to go before 10pm (but no passout then of course)

--> no matter what ticket you get, if you get in before 10pm you get a token which entitles for one 2 for 1 drinks.
 
Oh so it is buy one get one free on the drink, i read it as 2 free drinks.... thought it sounded too good lol, still some good options there depending on your plan, will really suit people planning on doing space sundays then onto solomun

Do we have to ask for the pass out or do they just give you a wristband or something? Is this for the 40 euro ticket on spotlight? I will be going on the 11th Sept maybe I'm interested to see who this very special TBA is!
 
this one seems to turn straight into the successor of acid sundays at heart - woomoon at cova santa. you heard it here first. no wonder as it's done by the guy who ran acid sundays last year. the opening party was yesterday, I missed it, but by all accounts it was fantastic and very busy.

think activities for everyone (including kids apparently) in the late afternoon, lots of stuff happening everywhere, then turning into a proper party later with performances etc. I heard they even do guided visits to the actual cave at cova santa - I've seen it myself last year and it is a sight to behold. maybe it's a bit early just after one date, but this may well turn into the 'party of the summer' as was the case for many with acid sundays last year.

Thanks Stivi - is this every Wednesday? Was thinking of Pacha that night (obvs a very different vibe).
Any update on how Space on Sundays has been? Has it been busy, what time does it start to fill up? Not sure if to head there on a Sunday or Tuesday this year!
