I'm not sure how long this has been a thing but since when do you eat your starter and main with the same cutlery?

Both in El Chiringuito (Cala Gracionetta) and Kumharas, 2 pricey places, I was expected to use the same cutlery that I had just used for the starter. In Kumharas my paper serviette was dirty so I let them take it away with my first plate. Asked for another and got nothing.

I know this is minor but this is not what you want from these places that are asking with inflated prices.

Guillemis gastro bar in Ibiza town - one warm goats cheese salad, one portion of calamari, 3 types of bread, olives marinated in honey and martini and alioli, 2 mojitos and 2 beers for 50 euros. I would recommend and return!

Restaurante Argentera in San Carlos- 4 basic quality meals and a drink plus bread and alioli and a big bottle of water about 12 euros each. I would recommend and return!

Bar llumba in Es Cubells - similar to the above. I would recommend and return!

Where would you guys say is the best tapas in Ibiza Town?

Went to "Tapas" last time I was over there which was really nice - staying in Figuretes this time around and keen to explore Ibiza town a bit more.

I haven't been to loads but the best tapas i had was at El Patio just below the walls of Dalt Vila, just around the corner from Plaça del Parc.

We went to Heart last sunday (gf is a fan of Acid Pauli)

We booked using their online form. At first I didn't get back an email so I sent them a email. Then I got the automatic mail asking for my card info (deposit in case of no show).

I confirmed my reservation yesterday afternoon (they say it's mandatory on their website).
We got there at 9pm as requested. The entrance is the same as the casino. The casino is on the left, heart is on the right.
A girl with an ipad checked my name and a waiter took us to our table. Since we are french we spoke mainly english all night long and the waiters are all fluent in english.

We started on the terrace with some fine apetizers. We really enjoyed it, you can tell the chef is influenced by molecular cuisine. On the terrace there are various booths : jamon, pictures, cocktails, and so on. Artists pass by and entertain the tables. You get to choose 4 or 5 main courses to share for the dinner.

When you have experienced all the mise en bouche the waiter assigned to your table takes you to your dinner table in the main room. There you get your 4-5 courses during the live show.
The show is really professional with some circus influenced performance (ropes from the ceiling, trapeze, juggling) some poetic scenery (a guy with just a box playing with light schemes) and a live sampling/beatbox/looping while dancers pass by. We really liked this guys and checked his Facebook page. His name is rico loop. At one time there was some impressive african dancers.

At the end you get lots of funny desserts while the people coming for the club wait at the bar and the waiters remove the restaurant tables.

All in all it was worth the price (700€ for 2 with menus wine and 2 cocktails). The show is really cirque du soleil style and everything is well thought and clever (lots of waiters, lights, sound, artists, make up, costumes).

Afterwards acid pauli spun. Not a glance at the audience through his set and he didn't touch the mixer he stayed on his.laptop. I guess he used ableton. It wasn't really the sound we know him for. He played some more dancefloor stuff. Soundsystem is clear and loud, there are artists doing performance on the scene as the dj plays.

As for the people lots of $$$ girls but also some more interesting "off the mold" people, mostly going in and out the dj booth. I think acid pauli has a group of friends/artists that give a more interesting touch to this night.

We will come back next year !

Spotlighters.... Does anyone have any recommendations for any nice
resteraunts in San Antonio, besides the obvious like Mambos. Nice tapas, fish etc would be ideal.

It seems there are plenty in San Eulalia, but I'm not sure how much a taxi is going to be across the island.

I've personally had some lovely meals there in the past and it's somewhere I love to go (particularly if there is a good pre party on) regardless of the fact it's not the cheapest.

I'll have a look at Sa Flama though for sure.
