I don't rate bodega myself.nice place but rude staff to busy looking in the mirror.you might get a seat outside only if your a member of Right Said Fred..food is very ordinary and alot better value elsewhere..

+1
The only thing going for that place is the location.
Greasy tapas

is there anything up the top of the town overlooking the sea to eat? i dont know much about it but from pics it looks like you can go somewhere quite high up with some good views?

A few words on where we ate this year:

La Bodega (Talamanca) - good but not brilliant, nice view, good service. Ceviche and Morcilla very good, the Octopus a bit chewy

Can Pa (on the road to Calla Vadella) - great goats cheese salad, ok pizza - very good prices

Ancient People (Ibiza Town) - very good curry, more south indian in style - good value for money

Calla Salada (Calla Salada) - great service, very good paella. Very reasonably priced considering they have no competition

Restaurant Ses Roques (Cala Conta) - Pork was a bit dry but the mixed fish grill was very good. Service was very good, well priced too. Lots of tables offering a sunset view

Cas Pages - amazing meat, had the fillet steak and lamb shoulder - both brilliant. Possibly just a little better then Balafia last year

El Carmen (Cala D'hort) - lucky to get a table at the front. Shared a few dishes, all very nice. Thought this was well priced considering the view and position.

La Bodega (Ibiza Town) - was in a party of 20 so they just brought out a selection of tapas through the night so difficult to judge. Have seen a few reviews about poor service but we found it to be very friendly. Would like to go back and try on a 'normal' night

Fish Shack - just brilliant, simple fresh fish. Made me regret not going last year.

Its on es cavalet beach on the way down to salinas. Its nice but as Jimmiz says it is far from cheap. There are better places to go and have a day by the beach with a similar vibe for cheaper. I personally for example would always choose sa trinxa over el chiringuito - the food is maybe not as expensive or nice but the beach is better and the music and the vibe is better for me. Also Jockey Club is another option on salinas that is more on a par with el chriringuito price wise.

I agree, Sa Trinxa is by far the best place and my all-time favorite ;-)

Music is always excellent, restaurant is very good and not too expensive for the location... Service is excellent. Couldn't recommend it more than that ;-)

And their Sangria de Cava White or Rosé is just perfect... can't wait to be back in september!

Finally made it to Fish Shack yesterday as I was with some friends who love fish as much as I do (my vegetarian husband drank a beer and enjoyed the view out to sea whilst we did!).

Whilst still pricey, it was cheaper than I had been expecting (around 16e to 20e for a large portion of fish with a large salad and lots of potatoes). So for the view and quality, we were all more than happy. I went for the red mullet (salmonete) following the recommendations on here and it was excellent. My friends went for sardines x2 and cuttlefish. All were delicious. 12.5e for a bottle of house wine too.

Rødhåd was sat on the bench along from us!

Also very happy to see that the restaurant by the walls of Dalt Via where my husband proposed (Angelo) has re-opened, following a year closed after a year as Blonde. Full restaurant reviews to follow once I get my head back!

Did anyone actually try Cala Bonita yet ? Interested in people's feedback

We went there today I was hoping to eat at PK2 the former restaurant.

Cala bonita food was really fresh with local and tasty ingredients. Nice flavours and presentation. 20-25€ per plate for a tartare and tomate + mozzarella with boquerones. 15€ for fruits plate...Service is perfect (smile, welcoming, fast and professional). View is nice and the music too (not a live dj).

It's too expensive imho for the small cala s'estanyol.

Tast Gallery, San Antonio.

Went for dinner here last night, small bar run by Italians with a basic menu. As you'd imagine Pasta is their speciality and it really didn't disappoint.

Having an Italian family I have grown up with Pasta all my life and this was some of the best I have ever had.

I had Penne Napoli and my other half had Spagetti Cabonara.

We also had a generous bread basket, 2 pints of Estrella Galacia and chipito.

€21

The most expensive dish of pasta and prawns was €9.

The bar was quite quiet with just a little foot fall so we got to engage with the Chef and Bar man throughout.

All the while a great live funk/jazz/blues concert was being played nice and loud. (Considering there are apartments directly above and opposite I'd be interested to know how many complaints have been made!)

Great place. Would be sad if this wasn't here next year.

I agree. We went for a late lunch/early dinner and were seated inside - it was roasting, the staff weren't very helpful although they did buzz around quite a lot which made the whole experience feel manic; so we couldn't relax, take time and enjoy our food. Some of the food was ok but nothing special plus we may as well have been eating with the random couple next to us whose table was about an inch away from ours. I don't think we'll be back.
