purse-snatchers in san antonio!!

I would have thought that once you are arrested and charged then all information about the crimanal becomes part of the public domain?

the stupidity of these pseudo-politically-"correct" twats is mindblowing :spank:

sure it´s way better not to name the nationalities of all these criminal subjects
which invaded ibiza within the last years -
so that people might think the ibizencos are a bunch of criminals ?!?

most of the crime - from purse-snatchers to villa-robberies - is IMPORTED,
and almost always the same nationalities are involved ...
so why the F not name names ???

I think you are stupid and mostly negative about Ibiza.
You are an "import" to Ibiza . The moors, the greeks, the romans were there before you.
So, don't ever consider yourself a local, but an IMPORT.

Ibiza did well before you, and will always do!

Stop posting readers letters from Ibiza sun. Section crime and incidents. And get them for granted. That's "mouton" thinking.

I would have thought that once you are arrested and charged then all information about the crimanal becomes part of the public domain?

The spanish papers are doing it (ultimahora, diariotheibiza), always put nationalities.
But, Here it's readers letters to ibizasun, complaining about, insecurity on the island, and naming nationalities.

And these complaints are coming from "tourists", who bought houses in ibiza.

Your IQ needs to be seriously lacking if you think you're going to get away with such serious crimes on a small Island.

Reader's Reply

With reference to J.R.'s letter last week saying he did not like the way the Ibiza Sun
described suspects as Moroccan or North African and thought it was racist,
I think I can safely say that we the people who live in Ibiza
welcome these criminals being described
.
so J. please mind your own business,

S.E., resident for 32 years

Well then, mind your own business. I mean it's not like it is any.ones business when they have their letter printed for the world to see
I don't actually think it's racist. More nimby crap, I saw nothing different to the way an English paper will report on 'yardies ' in days gone by in Nottingham. No one thought it racist then.

I've never say any romanians on a beach in my life in Ibiza?
There are Romanians everywhere on the island. They don't look so different that they stand out from the crowd. Some look Spanish, others look Scandinavian and every other European nationality inbetween. They also sound Spanish to people not very familiar with the Spanish language.

Anyway, whether people are Romanian or not, really doesn't matter. Anyone can park themselves next to you on a beach or somewhere and steal from you. There are Brits that come down to the island every year for the whole Summer whose only occupation is thievery.

You only have to look at my featues and the fact that I have never been on a beach in my life, to know that I must be Romanian.

the last to Jamiroquai
The Guardia Civil investigate the facts, all of them committed throughout the season

The Judicial Police of the Guardia Civil in Ibiza is investigating robberies this summer
in a mansion in Cala Carbo.
It is a large house on a hill facing the sea which is rented by the week and that in this season,
has had four robberies, one of them known to the British star Jay Kay, leader of Jamiroquai
,
reported yesterday from the Commander of the Guardia Civil de Balears.

The musician was stolen last month, upon arrival to the island, but declined to lodge
a complaint, confirmed from the center of the Civil Guard.
The musician was stolen the same day he came to the island and, apparently,
the thieves took several thousand pounds in cash and a Rolex luxury watch
owned by one of his bodyguards.

The British press, which has been echoed by the news, said that Jay Kay was not warned
of the three previous robberies that had occurred in the mansion.

The number of robberies has soared this year in Islands.
In the first months of the year have increased by nearly 60 percent over the same period
of 2011
, according to the latest official figures released by the Home Office.

Recently, the Civil Guard announced the arrest of a Moroccan man who is charged
about 30 robberies in luxury homes in Eivissa.
Soon after another man with the same nationality was arrested for their alleged connection
with these thefts, always in houses belonging to people with high purchasing power.
The Civil Guard recovered about 140,000 euros stolen.
Among those who have suffered this year robberies of this type
is the brother of footballer Xavi Hernández.
