But its not only Space and DC10, but also Bora Bora that`ll be closed till 4:30PM, or am I wrong?
What a mess...
This year its gonna be my first year @Ibiza!
And Bora Bora and Space are the parties i was so looking forward to...
Lyin` in the sun and behind you great tunes @ Bora Bora!
Ibiza is so famous for After-Hour clubbin, but with that restriction to come its over with the fame and magic:x
People, let's get some perspective on this Bora Bora thing.

Bora Bora has always had the music turned down lower during the day. It usually gets loud mid-afternoon. I'd say around 3-4 o'clock. So 4:30 is no big deal!

Bora Bora wouldn't be "closed". It is, after all, just a bar/restaurant that serves a section of beach. Even last year, when it was "closed" by the authorities for a few weeks, it was still open serving food & drinks.

Yep,and it's exactly what bora bora is about "the food" :!: (since we can't dance on the table)

You've entirely missed my point!

I'm saying that even if Bora Bora couldn't turn up the music loud until 4:30, it'd still be what it always was in the early afternoon! People sitting on the beach or standing by the bar, having a few drinks, some swaying to some good-but-not-too-loud music. Then the music gets louder and next thing you know, you've got people on the tables!

Edit: look what the big Mac says: http://www.spotlight-forums.com/showpost.php?p=1190008&postcount=24

The terrace is listed as a restaurant (separate from the indoor disco) so they can start turning the music up after 1:00...

monday is over - WHAT HAPPENED ?

no it isnt - its not even 9pm here

when the journalists get back from the meeting and file their copy for the mornings editions you'll know (assuming theyve been told & *if* there is any outcome, *if* there is a decision - you're also assuming thats the only council meeting taking place today and thats the only news thats happened here today

personally i dont listen to the diario radio broadcast and going by most council meetings it probably wont end for another hour or so ;)

the sky is also blue btw

doesn't look the way we'd like to have it :(

http://www.diariodeibiza.es/seccion...as-nuevas-ordenanzas-sobre-horario-discotecas

(as far as i understand: they agreed on the law which says the clubs have to stay shut for 10 hours. they also agreed on "looser" regulations during the openings and closings and to motivate the clubs to prolonge their season. i'm sure Mackie will come up with a more detailed explanation.)

EDIT - have a look above. mackie was faster than me

It's too much strict, too long ... Ibiza's economy is gonna fall down ... all the glamour of the island is going away ... ibiza is not a very special tourist destination anymore ... ibiza is now a classic Holiday city like Benidorm or French south city!Nothing more!

I still love the island ,but the governement is sick ... Can't wait the fall down of the economy and the come back of the daytime party ...

i can't understand why they're doing such a thing...in addition with the new sound regulations for san antonio...what is this???new Franco in Ibiza???
if things continue like this, this will be my second and last visit to the island...it's not about clubs but it seems like the guardia civil will be watching every venue, every single tourist and private property on the island...
i hardly ever do anything illegal i just don't like the feeling of being watched...those kind of laws are ridiculous and if i belonged to the younger generation of ibicencos i certainly would do something for that...
and something last...the government would like the clubs to extend their seasons and that shows they appreciate the income they bring to the island...i don't see how all of those measures support this...if i was the owner of space or amnesia(i don't mention dc10 i consider it already closed),i would disagree, maybe sell it now that the value is high....what are the owners saying???
i'm sure that many many people feel like me and the results of this disappointment will be seen on this year numbers...
