The exceptional Italian Trattoria del Mar restaurant on the Marina Botafoch now has a sister establishment. At the start of April this family owned business opened a second location in the heart of Jesus, with a view of the village church directly opposite, called La Vineria. As you might already guess from the name, wine fans will be well served here. Their 14 page menu includes about a hundred different wines - it’s almost a book of wines. Naturally they include Ibicencan wines from Can Rich on their solid wood shelves, but wine fans who like variety in their drink will find a number of wines that cannot be found in other island restaurants. In culinary terms La Vineria complements the Trattoria del Mar. The kitchen has focusedon a selection of small meals for in-between and tapas with an Italian flair: rocket salad with gambas and Parmesan cheese, bruchettas topped with freshly prepared vegetables (warm or cold), Parma ham as an alternative to the local Serrano and Ibérico varieties. “The quality is just as high as in the Trattoria, however, La Vineria is a more urbane place to go out,” say Linda and Gabriele, who cheerfully take care of their guests. Simply stop by and check it out! La Vineria, Calle Cap Martinet 3, Jesus (Santa Eularia), telephone: 971 19 18 27. Open daily (except Sundays) continuously from 1 am to midnight

apparently lust in the west end will not continue as a strip club after their not-very-successful fist season (no need for four titties bars in such a small area) :!:

they are actively looking for someone to take it on but theres two major problems:
theres no fire exit (reason why the tour operators will not go there anymore) and the money they ask per year is a joke. as you might remember, what used to be basement.....

After 33 years, during which they have worked in and for the last few years owned The Wild Asparagus Restaurant, Luis and Miguel have decided that retirement has a special attraction, so they are putting the restaurant, plus it's accompanying businesses, up for sale.
:!:
Luis and Miguel, owners of the Restaurant Wild Asparagus, were hoping to sell the business and take well earned retirement. The present economic climate does not encourage many buyers so they're back and have re-opened for the summer, continuing to provide the fine food and friendly service which the restaurant has been doing since 1968. This is great news for customers old or new. Hopefully things will turn around soon, a buyer will be found and they can then both put their feet up for a long and happy rest.[/quote]

apparently dave pearce (eden) will move to another day :!:

expect something new and BIG for tuesdays.....
update: dave pearce is not in eden anymore :!::!:
apparently he is in talks with el divino

:!::!::!:

seems like eden were not prepared to pay pearce his £4000 weekly bill (before paying for flights/accommodation/promotion/other djs/etc) as he was not cool enough for the new look eden. el divino were paying little louie vega 10,000€ last year so £4000 for pearce will be nothing to them.....
