apparently lust in the west end will not continue as a strip club after their not-very-successful fist season (no need for four titties bars in such a small area)

they are actively looking for someone to take it on but theres two major problems: theres no fire exit (reason why the tour operators will not go there anymore) and the money they ask per year is a joke. as you might remember, what used to be basement.....

update: it will continue as a strip club after all with new management

the bar kings in the west end (a.k.a. the bull bar) is in ruins at the moment. they have knocked down everything, except the exterior walls, to be rebuilt!!

a little bird told me that, apart from a new bar, they also want to do apartments above. as you can see in this picture taken some hours ago the remaining walls have been demolished too

the bar underneath will be called babylon

half a year since the name's up on the facade and still nothing going on in there ! !

the new babylon is ready to be rented out but they want far too much money for it

it has a ground floor bar (entrance opposite golden gate), an impressive basement club of 260m2 (entrance on the corner of the building) and a top floor bar (entrance opposite colon). the lay out is really bad though..... so much space wasted on corridors to the toilets and on staff toilets that the stock room is the size of a large toilet cubicle. they have also put a pillar right in front of the dj box so that his view is obscured for half of the dancefloor.....[/quote]

apparently the people behind taboo downstairs wanted to turn it into a strip club (not a bad idea as it wont be easy to make money up there without a terrace) but it finally didnt happen. according to the latest rumours, its going to open as a gay bar..... although that seems VERY difficult to believe ! !

needless to say, the neighbours are not very happy about it.....

as you might remember, it didnt happen..... but according to ibiza sonica it will reopen this summer

according to cadena ser, a french man is trying to open a craft fair in what used to be la diosa

so seems like, if it finally gets the opening license, it wont be a club.....
