according to UH, the san juan council has decided to stop making the annual beach party in mid-july at portinatx due to the amount of people it attracted last year (almost 10.000)
some years ago they banned the annual drumming day for peace at benirras and now the only legal night-time beach party on the island is gone too. sad sad sad.....

two years later and still nothing happening there..... according to UH, it was sold and it was meant to turn into private apartmentsthe hotel san diego in the bay remained closed this summer
if you have seen it lately (watching the sunset from kumharas, for example) you know what an eyesore it is.....

erm, luciano and cox in the local fiestas of portinatx? too good to be true ! !
there was a party last night with live music and djs but it was at the big parking were all the buses stop, not in the beach anymore..... a friend was there from midnight till 4-something when it finished (in the past it would last till early morning) and it was all young local djs, no big names ! !
according to him, as they didnt announce it with posters, etc like in the past there was only 1.000 people or so.....

according to DDI, duna in the bay has been fined by the san jose council with 4.700€ because back in the day they turned a little house into a big restaurant without license and they have 2 months to knock it down

the travel agency viajes eivitour in ibiza town (opposite el zaguan and owned by matutes) has turned into the cafe expréssaté
a franchise brought to ibiza by the singer marcos llunas (ex-manoa and ex-el brasero), who this year is also running the restaurant of the club náutico in san antonio.....
