Ibiza 2022 impressions

Never been in august before, i always go in june or september...but this year due to circumstances I had to book a really short august trip, but man it's busy!! Couldnt even get in Ibiza Town yesterday, traffic jams, no parking space.
First and last time i'll ever go again in august thats for sure. Still had a great weekend though.

July was rammed , too. First year after covid. Was no surprise. Best time for me is mid of September . Totaly different people on the island.

I’m not sure what the stats say, but having been here since 20 August, every day feels like it becomes a little less busy. Actually having zero issues getting a taxi since this last weekend.

Hôtels prices are not really Closing prices for 80% of those i used to Book,cheaper than August prices for sure ,insane prices 200€/day my hotel along aug
My hôtel in westend IS 85€/day if u Book it now while i paid 35€ with breakfast february,last mn Booking has a cost .
Saving already 400€ ,looks liké i will enjoy those 3weeks Closing parties After this

I got moto luis for 135€ in Oct (5 days) Is that much higher than prev Octobers? Am guessing it would be higher now

Sounds reasonable enough given horror stories of people getting quoted €1000 for a week high season...encouraging to hear that

that seems pretty comparable for what I paid for a similar period last October, in which case I make it a good deal

We did exactly the same today !! Was £300 for four days now £150. With full insurance. Gold car

We said the same at Ibiza Airport Departures today, although we primarily went for work reasons.

Roads crazy busy & lack of parking a real issue. Ibiza Town felt much busier last week compared with the previous weekend, which people we spoke with in restaurants & bars also said. Assume the UK Bank Holiday weekend made it a lot busier the weekend just been.

Friends who went to all three DJ Harvey dates so far this year said last night’s was by far the busiest. Couldn’t get into Freddie’s dancefloor at all and sadly the crowd wasn’t great - definitely not the usual Pikes crowd with drunk guys in smart shirts & trousers coming out with bad chat up lines.

Still had a fantastic trip but August is not for me now.

I feel like a broken record here. I don't know how many times I've said it before, but if you can avoid going in august - especially the first three weeks of the month - just do!

the island is at fever pitch / boiling point, everywhere is busy, very hot, peak season with all its consequences (flight delays, taxi situation, chances to get a bed/table at your fave beach club/restaurant, clubs packed…

I know some people genuinely enjoy all of this - they wanna be here and surf that crazy peak season wave. for everyone else; just come earlier or later in the summer.

it's been said a bazillion times before on here, september and into the first two weeks of october the entire vibe changes and gets brilliant again - that is obviously just my personal opinion.

There needs to be a ruthless old school door bitch to prevent this. "who's playing tonight dahlin'? what music is it? you're IN/OUT". that would soon weed out the divs/sex pests.

and August. total no-no. I get that for a lot of people conditioned by work, school, kids etc, it's less easy to go in Sept though
