Ibiza 2022 impressions

Quick one…..so I’ve been at O Beach hotel for past 6 days overlooking O’beach…getting free pre-clubbing from my balcony
(Although I did go one day - that’s for later). All I can say, despite the days/ organised, the tunes/music are more ore less the same every day (I’m not criticising but just making a comment)….i think they must make an absolute fortune (even more than clubs)… people drinking from 2 (versus clubbers just having water at night etc).

Really not surprised! They really are onto a winner

Can't wait to hear about your adventure there

Fair play to them, in really in a tough market they have made themselves the place to go for the younger generation to get an instagram post. Again, the daytime thing comes into play as well.

As far as I can see…it’s been packed every day (with really no big DJ) when you look how much they charge for beds/seats etc….it’s huge. I’m not complaining or anything but it….I’m just a bit stunned when I’ve seen it!
They are ripping people off, but alot of people love it! Heard the food isn't that nice there either

What is that hotel like?..I might consider staying there nxt yr (Just got bak home and stayed in Sal Rossa in Bossa...Very good). I went to Ocean Beach one day (quiet down in Bossa during the day)..packed out and to be honest me and my mate had a real good laugh, it is what it is but I enjoyed it. The food also is decent aswell imo.

I’ve been twice and both times had a good day out. It’s expensive, but well run, good service and you can get a good 6-7 hours there out of it. Yes musics is very commercial but proper mixed crowd and actually good fun atmosphere

Yea. So I’ve stayed at sal rossa for many years…it nice enough (I used to stay there because it was next to Space back in the day).. This O’Beach hotel San an is great, in San Antonio but really good. Much cheaper I’ve found. I really shouldn’t have been so negative to stay San An in the past….I think it’s really good. The bars on the bay etc are really good…it’s completely changed from when I stayed here 15 odd years ago.

Is the Bay worth venturing round to, for a few drinks if staying in San An centre? Stayed in the bay on my first ever visit but never been back for drinks, just the odd meal.

I've made a point of heading to Kumharas an hour or so before sunset last few trips. Great vibe, street food and music a little less commercialised than the sunset strip.

Last week Paco Fernandez played on a Tuesday as Pikes was a private event so assume "kicked out" from his regular slot but normally some chilled tracks being played live by a DJ

Bar that not much else and headed back an hour after sunset to be honest

There are bars and they are cheaper but didn't capture my interest but if you just want drinks you can get that up in the bay area. Just nothing over and above, bar Kumharas imo, from the town area

Edit: recommend a taxi up and back for sunset though. €10 a mojito means you'll make that money back in a couple of drinks 👌

I've always had a good time there. Great daytime motive and for me, a good day/night is aided greatly by the people you're with

Yes…I’d say so. I went to acta and ibiza rocks… ibiza rocks bar is really good value in my opinion and the staff are great, chicken pitta is superb (I think it’s about 10 euros with a pint - not sure)
