PdB is central . You dont have to party there. Was ok for me. Walk to Figuertes or Dalt Vila easy. 20 min to cooltoure , 35 min to harbour. Many buses and parking was ok. Cannot expect more . If you go out of the season , a lot of hotels are closed there. Looks like a ghost town at the end of october.

Popularity seems to have exploded at this spot. I proposed to my wife there May 2012, early season in know, there was only one other car there.

Last time I went some entrepreneurs were selling cocktails from a van and there were loads there
 
How the other half live. Getting there by boat and having to divebomb off the side and wade through the water is much more fun.

This is so true! It was really really hard to find anything this year. Not unusual at all to find very, very average places for 300/400 per night
