Getting to/from Ibiza latest info

You can't just get your first dose, them your second the week after. There's an 8-12 week period in between doses
with the walk-ins they will let you have 2nd dose after 21 days with little resistance. Just be polite, confident and informed

When I went they did try to talk a few of people who turned up exactly after 21 days out of it, but they all stood their ground and got their jab

I dunno how but my dads got an electronic calendar with walk in locations/ types of vaccine (obvs needs to be same as your first) and time slots but this is just for my local area. Guessing they’re available for whole of uk? Its a google calendar

I did not know this. Thanks, I might try this

Has anyone done this in any of the centres in Brighton? Walk in for the 2nd jab and state the case it can be 3 weeks?

For return...

Currently the covid hotel in Bossa is full and they are not taking anyone in - there is a waiting list.
If you're in a hotel, you have to quarantine in the hotel for 10 days.

After the 10 days, you basically get a certificate to say that you've done your 10 days quarantine and you can get back home (apparently no need for a test)

There is no option to test to get released earlier.

For these reasons I have completely given up any hope of travel to Ibiza this year. Even if I were relaxed about my own risks, 10 days stuck in a place I had snuck off to on the QT is a complete no-no ! With rates climbing again, anyone going out for a week has a higher and higher chance of coming back positive even if they're fully vaccinated and don't feel ill. Best hope would be a 2 1/2 day quickie with a test just before leaving UK to cover your return.

Not Brighton but Sussex, they are a bit funny about 3 weeks but can be done. 4-no problem. There is actually huge spikes in Brighton at the mo so they prob will, but ultimately up to the clinician in charge. 8 weeks is still government advice.

Not true at all

Maybe slight exaggeration but many 18-24 not had first jab, so 6 weeks from now minimum to be fully vaccinated. Yes I have been shouting about walk ins for ages as criminally under publicised and used but it’s still mid July and majority of people don’t know about them

We fly out to Mallorca on Friday. If they change it to red, I'm gambling there will be a day or two notice and we'll be on the first available flight back
There not going to change to red before they change to amber first. I go Monday so hoping nothing changes by then

I more often than not do it overland and always enjoy. My usual itinerary is, Liverpool / London / Paris Eurostar same day. Get a hotel near Gare De Lyon for the night. Next day get the 10.10 first class Paris to Barcelona direct, get into Sants about 16.30. Have a pint and bite to eat then jump on the overnight ferry to Ibiza in a cabin at 22.30, usually gets into Ibiza about 06.30. Similar on the return but the ferry is daytime so have a night in Barcelona then do Barcelona back to Liverpool in a day.

How much does that usually cost? Sounds like fun!

Just an FYI there's a thread on reddit called getjabbed and they list all known vax centres and whether they're doing early jabs, people's experiences etc.

6 of us 30 and under managed to get our 2nd jab at between 3 and 6 weeks at places in Manchester so that we were able to do ibiza this summer ❤

Just wanted to let people know of the resource if people are eager to get it done!
