Cream Ibiza moving to Hï

Just seen on fb that people approaching Cream for summer jobs are being redirected straight to Hï.
Not sure if that's the norm? But is there a possibility that Hï have just paid a licensing fee to use the Cream brand, and they won't have too much of a hands on role??
Glitter box is the only independent night the rest is run by hi

8 dates for STEVE ANGELLO

I did say a few pages back I wondered if the Cream thing would just be a re-brand of Hi Sundays last year. Seeing as the headliners from memory were Steve Angello, Afrojack, Oliver Heldens (possibly) and a few others of that ilk.

Potentially. I wonder if we'll see an SHM date? Just thinking aloud at this point.

Sounding like it. But to be honest Hi Sundays already had a strong EDM lineup, if they add the extra lure of the Cream brand and Trance and its loyal fanbase to the other room then they have a big winner I think.

Now u know why I'm not going:(

No idea what Steve Angello plays now, but his Radio 1 residency last year was actually good, wasn’t EDM crap.

Cream was known for prog house and trance. The edm thing is a cash in. Seems at least main room is gonna be edm heavy

Cream always had a house room at nation and always had house djs in Ibiza, ie my first night in 97 was a six hour main room set from roger Sanchez while there was nothing going on the terrace. Cream has always been a broad church and had trance, prog, house, garage and techno soundscapes. As @Ikoda says, edm is nothing new to cream, they have had edm djs home and abroad for years. It’s not my thing at all and hearing super you and me on the terrace on the last visit made it my last and that was years ago. Above and Beyond live sets (I’m loathe to call them live) have been edm based for years too.

Where hi is concerned I think they have simply bought the cream Ibiza franchise and are using the name. It still sells.

I get that but still thought pvd, john ocallaghan etc would have been announced. The terrace apart from prydz was usually shit imo. Take out a&b and main room was generally proper trance without the edm aspect.
