? it what's i m afraid it may happen in ibz bars/beach bars, with lot of tourist wih parties on minds, they will loosen up if there isnt (police?) staff to keep the law respected in all bars.
What they don't realize is that this could perfectly also happen to Ibiza, goodbye to "new normality" and back to phase 2...

Concerns me deeply.
If governments keeps pushing areas or countries back to earlier phases....they will destroy what's left of their economy and mental health of their citizens. We need to stop thinking corona is the only risk we are dealing with here. Age differentiation in the measures still seems like the only way out to me. Protect the vulnerable, but safe the low-risk young people to help what's left of the economy, tourism etc.

Got to be honest I am getting slightly worried for Ibiza, when the tourists start coming in. These little pockets of outbreaks are in places where they have not had it badly before. Like a wave of the virus that passes through, and then disappears again (mostly). As has been said before it is why places like London are almost free of the virus now when they were the epicentre 3 months ago.
Everywhere will get it badly once, you just have to pray that once you've had it, you don't get a second wave.

have to agree, if previous phases do come back in effect knowing what we know now the groups that are low risk or unless choose otherwise this time should be able to remain as normal

It really seems like many people don't understand what's at stake.

For Australia, for example, depending which numbers you use for the economic impact assessment, we are looking at an economic cost of the lockdown of around $500 million to $1 billion per death.

not for a second saying the virus isn't serious and hasn't taken many lives but I still yet aren't to know anyone that has had it, I don't even know anyone that knows anyone that has had it.. I do personally know 2 that have taken their own lives during this lockdown (may of been underlying issues but I can almost guarantee the situation we are in has been a big factor) a few of my friends have also lost people similar way during. the realness of this goes far beyond life's effected directly by Covid

True but that arithmetic doesn't include what would have happened if they didn't lock down. (Should divide cost by potential number of lives lost or ruined by long term health issues)

How is Brazil economy doing with no real lockdown? ?‍♂️

ibiza gran hotel opens 24th july
good to hear ?? for the last 2 years in October ive stayed there, although some say it’s too corporate, we have enjoyed our stays, well situated for what we want to do at that time of the year..last year was a bit of trek, walking wise for destino as it was grid locked for Carola and Cox..?

Before and after Corona?

Brazil's GDP fell 1.5% in Q1. UK GDP fell by 5.8% in March alone, LOL.

Sweden might be a better example - although they will inevitably be f*cked by Europe.

"Early figures for Sweden’s gross domestic product in the first quarter of 2020, released this week, suggested that at least in March it had performed better than much of the EU as it recorded a decline of just 0.3 per cent, compared with a 3.8 per cent fall for the eurozone.

But economists argue that Sweden is unlikely in the long term to escape the severe economic pain of the rest of Europe. The European Commission forecasts that Sweden’s GDP will fall by 6.1 per cent this year."

Unfortunately there will never be a true "apple to apples" comparison. Every major world economy would have been impacted by this regardless if they remained open or not, as their neighbors and trading partners economies shrank because of their own independent decisions.

I will be sad if they push back to earlier phases for ibiza
