a famous spot won't open this year :Cafe del mar
it was quiet dead last few years but i enjoyed more having a soda there than Mambo Cafe ?
Today, as Café del Mar turns 40, we are unfortunately not able to open

tend to agree, clubbing is a bit ‘all or nothing’ for me. It’s a bit like watching football with no crowds, it’s just shit!

that said, it will be difficult to complain if there are no dance venues left in a year’s time if we don’t support them where we can. It’s a tricky one...

we always have struggled to get seats, infact all of that corner is always a struggle to get a table I have never seen it even a quarter empty ..sitting on the rocks is never a slum situation though so not moaning one of if not the most iconic sunset on the planet doesn't leave much room to squabble

I think it opened at 4pm last year and we would pop in for a beer soon as it opened on one of the empty tables, then head round to Golden Buddha for a bit. Walking back past CDM a few hours later it would be rammed. No seats and people everywhere, stays like that all night

How about instead of chairs and tables, big bean bags with waitered service. Give everyone some space cake with chill out music playing. No problems with people getting up and too close ??

i should add i got on minds of an empty cafe del mar along opening time when empty ,while Mambo cafe busy
i never hang in this strip along summer since decade after going there a lot early 00, except radio 1 Mambo 1hour or a few visits to please ibz virgins.
i reminds too (as parking car close by to get home to hotel) they hosted pre party for Music on, quiet weird as balearic chillof CDM doesnt really fit with Techno/Tech House of Music ON ?
