I think you both perhaps misunderstood my point a bit, apologies if I was unclear

Using the mandatory mask as an example, that news landed very negatively in the British press. Of course this has had an impact - it would be a bit naive to think that press and public opinion doesn’t impact political decisions. Another example is the crackdown on parties. Maybe I have missed it, but I haven’t seen similarly negative UK press articles from places like Mykonos, Saint Tropez, etc...

And second of all, you say that mandatory mask outside is safety-adding. That seems to be the general consensus here in Spain, but many other places (incl. Scandinavia) are extremely negative towards this. The science is really weak (if not non-existent), in particular since the virus doesn’t really spread outside. Norway’s public health institute said that 200,000 people would have to wear a mask outside for a week to prevent 1 (yes one!) infection.

You cant find a medical solution for a Problem that is that is not medical. I dont want to go to far into conspiracy theories, but if you think normal life will come back next year, prepare yourself for a rude awakening. We will probably have the greatest economic recession of all time, wich will lead to dramatic changes in our Society. As our trustworthy politicians ( sarcasm ) tell us since the beginning of the pandemic, get used to the new normal.

we’re from Germany coming in august, we’lle of course be wearing masks. We would like to take vacation pictures if ourself, is it possible to take the mask away for a shot or no? :(
 
I learned this news, this weekend... due to fly 3rd of september, looking more and more unlikley by the day. i agree with most people in this forum, its largely political as with everything.


Was really hoping to get out there this year but not looking good so far

This morning I was asked by a tourist to take a picture of him posing in front of the bar Tango in the port. He removed the mask, I snapped, he placed the mask again and nothing happened... common sense is the key!

How many tourists are currently on Ibiza?

I don't get it - the season is supposed to be much quieter than usual, why are the beaches overcrowded already?

Is it like that on every beach - e. g. are Salinas, Sa Caleta, Cala Boix, Cala San Vicente beaches overrun with people too, or are just a couple of especially famous beaches affected?

Apparently not. Only the people who travelled?‍♂️. Guess if start showing symptoms then follow normal rules of all isolate and get a test.

Also channel 4 news (uk) is doing a piece on impact of all the travel nonsense on ibiza.
