What's going to happen to SPACE after 2016?

I'm personally pretty unsure about the future of ENTER. on the island. now that the season's over I can tell that for a while last winter it was very uncertain whether they'd even do enter ibiza 2015 and as far as I know, it was a very tight decision in the end.

said it before, will say it again, too many techno parties on the island. I could see that some time in the future some of the promoters / DJs could go back together and do a joint thing instead of everyone trying to do their own thing. but we'll see...

reading all posts ... the future of space is an emotional thing for all of us ... many people had the best times/reminds at many nights there
i think over the consequences and find out some possibilities

1) SPACE (the brand) goes also to Ushuaia and they try to change not too many things and build up "the other side of music/NO EDM".
A bridge from Ushuaia (why not) and pure Deep/Minimal/Tech House, Techno, Underground- Nights with a great LineUp startin at the same time
as you can hear the Music in Ushuaia... Music ON ->in the sun at 5 or 6 p.m

2) SPACE would be build up new (new Building) or new face and turned into an USHUAIA EDM Afterhour/NightClub - OH MY GOD - that would be sad news
and no SPACE Club in Ibiza - worst Case

3) SPACE in a new Building/Club at a place on the island - but where - PDB ? SAN A. ? San Rafael (many people against the sound and loud people)

4) a Space-Fusion with an other club (Amnesia) etc.. NO NO no! i think....

what do you prefere ???
i prefer 1 or 3

i think that the EDM peak is not so far away and the 123-126 bpm sound would come back ... it´s a question of time
so we need the clubs without EDM
i was at hardwells carnival this year - yes it was a bombastic crowd and party (and i am no EDM DJ) but it was
the mass of people, the light, the show, the things around, the timing, the pyro, the VIP with 12 liter MOET look there, look here etc.... like a CARNIVAL yes
but when i think back to steve lawlers sets in space, to roger sanchez sets at release yourself, to hawtin/väth/vulcano etc. sets
wow the pure music was the key and moved us ... they needed a dark room with one neonlight for an awesome night

^ exactly!

He's from San An and he started as a businessman (and as a politician) in San An, so it would make sense that he finished his "career" in that municipio (which includes San Rafael)... Keeping in mind nothing biiig happened there since the arrival of the Ocean Beach brand, Space somewhere in San An would be great news for its economic future. Otherwise we'll continue seeing more and more tourists moving to PDB...

I really don't know if you need multiple rooms for ENTER. to work. (Happy to be challenged on this though). The CNTRL room in the premier etage is ancillary, doubt that would be missed by many. I understand the thinking behind MIND in El Salon but again, wouldn't call it essential to most people's experience. SAKE on the sunset terrace too. From what I've been hearing on this forum it wasn't exactly rammed each week and reckon they could serve up sake cocktails in other bars. It's essentially a two room party with the terrace offering a lighter alternative to the pummelling in the discoteca.

If ENTER. was to partner with say, Cocoon, for 8 or so parties (like Luciano last year) you'd get that contrast with Richie on in the Main Room and Sven the Terrace. Of course, whether Cocoon stays at Amnesia and all the other politics you'd have to work through would get in the way is another matter. But I can see it working, might be a bit of a kick in the teeth for Richie though to go from having every room in Space open for his party to having to collaborate.

So maybe Space could buy out es paradise . That could work , with a few new rooms built ! Any thoughts ?

Eden would be a good fit. I just hope the pending reinvention of San Antonio doesn't attract all the fannies that stay in Playa Den Bossa.

Haven't been to Eden since I was a teeny bopper in 1996 , so can't comment on that one as in size of the place and layout . Obviously privilege would be big enough and possibly the right place , but if Pepe does live in San an and as one of the previous message mentions he could possibly finish in his home town, it would be a good legacy to get San an more popular and cool again by introducing space in one of the buildings . And what's es paradise like when the sun rises ? Never stayed that late to experience it . Is it a good place to dance in the morning like space terrace used to be ?

I think for Space to be successful it would need to be in a brand new location - something fresh. Eden re-branded as Space wouldn't be anything special

Agree. I'd love to see a new building go up, far away from anything residential....with outside space to bring back the original space vibe

My two cents...I just think if it can't be what it is/was then let it be! No reason to try and recreate "Space" as we know it somewhere else, would it really work out? Maybe Pepe Rosello could initiate a new project under a different name somewhere on the island, but why make it Space? It will never be the same, and would surely just be setting itself up for failure?

I would say the reason space should carry on is because it's a brand now , known throughout the clubbing world with tours , CDs and venues in other country's . So there is a following even if some of us old timers protest at it never being the same . You never know it might just work !
