We were talking to a spanish barman last july in bpd and his boss used to work at space. They seemed pretty convinced space is off to amnesia like it was a done deal.I hope that Rosello owns all rights to the 'Space' name, and equally I hope no offer however big will make him part ways with those rights. Assuming the building or the land continues to operate as a music venue in some incarnation it would be a shame to tarnish the Space name. It should wipe the slate clean and build its own legacy, good or bad.
If the current team feel they can do a job at Privilege and return it to former glories, then great. If they can hold onto their current roster of talent/brands and give Privilege an overhaul - maybe divide the main room up into smaller spaces - then I think they have potential to make it work.
Again, please don't rename it Space. If they must rename it, fine. Just not Space.
Sadly great clubs come-and-go. Space is arguably the best ever. So if it ceases to exist let it's legacy live on untarnished. Don't let it become a shadow of it's former self. (cue lots of old timers saying it already is!!!)

I agree. Whilst it would be great if something new was started somewhere else, it wouldn't really be Space would it? Space is Space, you can't really move it somewhere else. That something new would be it's own thing.I dont get why people want it to continue elsewhere. It wouldn't be Space.
Openings and closings aside, last year I think it was only Carl Cox and Enter that did it.Not been to Space for a few years. What nights do they open up the whole club on? Prefer when you can access the Premier Etage etc. Trying to work out in my head what flights would be best. Or is it still all a little early for this kinda chat? Was thinking about flying over 11th September-ish.

Still wouldn't be Space thoughSpace is an international brand today. It can continue elsewhere and draw the crowds for sure.
