I actually find it more alarming to walk into a a golf club and see droves of red chinos or into a 5 star hotel swimming pool area to see batallions of portly English "success stories" all wearing signature pastel couloured trunks from Medwinds or Lacoste than a bunch of guys on holiday in vests. It's just because you see the same people wearing the same sort of style all in one place.
I've always worn what I like... and for the record have never worn a vest in public. But I still can't see why people judge others on what they are wearing, whether it's a vest or anything else. It doesn't mean they are sheep. They may have no clue what to wear, have never been abroad before or any number of reasons and just be taking the lead from what they see in pictures etc. Or they may like wearing them. Does it matter ? How people can jump to thinking ill of others or making assumptions about them based on what they see is totally beyond me.
