WHAT IS IT LIKE IN WINTER?

nice one! I might see you for the new years swim...

Would be great to catch up there! You will help me to get in that cold water ;-)

Last year I missed it because my plane was at 9AM on 1st Jan... but this year I don't want to miss it (and anyway, there was no flight back on 1st Jan ;-)). I'll be there for the first wave already, no hangover for me as I'll be alone with my daughter ;-)

Let's share some wine from Vino&Co on the beach to celebrate! (or Hierbas but not sure they bring some too... I guess it's only wine?).

Anyway, really looking forward, exploring the island and having fun with my little princess... I will have a close look on local event agendas & on spotlight of course...

Yes! Already put myself as "Going" ;-)

Will not miss it... I'm staying at less than 5 minutes ride from there ;-)

Booked 1 week from 31st December until 7th January... Father & daughter time as I did last year.
She will run faster than me to go for the "Primer Bano del Ano 2020" :-D

Definitely for NYE. I think the pandemic situation is over at this time. Maybe earlier.
I think this will be a cool Trip.

I absolutely love Ibiza from October through May it's honestly the best place on earth. The wife and I say we endure July and August to enjoy the rest of the year! Christmas here is magical, I would never dream of spending it back in the UK ever again! If anyone has ever pondered a winter trip, do it, and you will be hooked.

direct flights from northwest uk would be the deal breaker for us.

After seeing all the festive activities last year on socials we decided to book up for mid December.

Decided on a Madrid / Ibiza split since we can still get to Madrid from Bristol year round. Then a cheap flight in to and out of Ibiza from there.

Half thinking of a flight from London City to Ibiza before the spring season kicks in; no doubt Ibiza city will have bars etc open for locals, but what of San An and pdB? I went to PdB in October and it was very quiet so I expect it to be pretty much dead in late winter, is San An any better??

BTW some good hotel prices for that time, Eurostars Ibiza (port) less than e100/nt last time I looked.

Quite a few places are open in San Antonio over winter but Ibiza Town is definitely more buzzing. PDB will be dead. This year in particular, Ibiza Town has had a big tourism injection to promote itself as a winter destination and more bars / restaurants / shops... than ever are open. Last year, December was really nice in Ibiza Town for Xmas but things did get quiet over January & February, as that is when the owners will close for renovations and to get some time off after Xmas.

Yes, I was chatting to the owners of several Ibiza town GLTB bars who said they were gonna open over weekends although don't know their plans after new year but hopefully in addition to local bars there should be enough to do. If I go I might pop over to San An in the afternoon and see what's going on.

Be much better if we had at least some flights from Manchester or somewhere; Heathrow would be better than Gatwick for those of us up north!

At present, the only direct flights over winter from anywhere in the UK is from London City Airport and at 9am (besides around 1pm on a Sunday) so not very helpful unless you live in London!

I fly back to Ibiza later this week and have had to go via Palma Mallorca from Gatwick with BA as the EasyJet flights via Barcelona & Madrid were expensive with carry on hand luggage.
