While my situation was not comparable, I will also vouch for the NHS being brilliant. Had physio & x-ray within 2 days of returning from my last trip. Also booked in for physio to help it along. Need to keep it in place and fund it properly.

Made it to La Casa del Abuelo yesterday afternoon and was really good. Also headed to Notre Dame gig due to Thursday late night drunken ticket purchases and enjoyed "Yumi" when played in Ibiza last year. Really enjoyed it but estoy cansado today...

Happened to me last June, ended up with a 6 hour delay while they sorted things out. Hope you manage to get on your way soon!
 
Ring the taxi main office and hopefully it'll get found and returned. They can put word around on the radios....all main taxi offices are on this link...should have been the first one if you just got in the queue at the airport?

Worth heading back to the airport and seeing if it has been handed in there?
Can also try one of the taxi guys there and they can put word out? Might get a more sympathetic ear?

Its annoying but try not to let it ruin your day...you can get an emergency passport if you really have lost it...might need a google to work it all out but you can still get home!
