Weekend Plans

Not much tonight. Chilling, dinner, tv. Getting over the week at work for my new role at work.
Saturday will be a bit of out and about business. Collect stuff from the Royal Mail depot, drop in to the local village shop to get a phone number for some fire wood. Dog walk with the wife’s aunt and uncle. Restaurant in Hertford with wife’s aunt and Uncle.
Sunday - up to Liverpool Street on the train to have a wander around Brick Lane

Fri - Work' s hybrid AGM. I help to organise it, run the virtual side and have to sit on the top table to pass results of votes or questions. Not massive but ready for a beer by the end. Got invited into town by young colleagues but had to say no.

Sat - local derby against Blackpool. Hard to get tickets but we managed quite a few. Should be a good atmosphere as we are course to win the league, on a head wetting, the pubs in town open at 8am. Going to be sensible and leave until 9.

Wife is in Leeds, son at my mother in law. Could be a good night's sleep or very late night.

Sunday - breakfast somewhere, visit a friend who's got a new born. Hopefully grab a granny nap.

Busy week then conference season starts

No Arsenal session tonight for my boy as the missus is out on a work do, so I have to pick my other boy up from school. Have promised to take them for pizza instead (still a downgrade for boy 1 as he normally gets pizza AND football). Sleepover in the cloud when we get home as per.

Saturday morning guitar lesson for boy 1, with boy 2 in tow, and then trek out to the wilds of Ilford to take on the runaway league leaders in our league.

Sunday morning - usual trip with the kids to pick up my sister, before heading to my folks. This time, however, she will have her bloke and luggage on board as they are staying at my folks for a week, while theirs undergoes some electrical work. I'm sure this will go swimmingly:D. While kids at my folks I'll be playing my 2nd footy match of the weekend, an over 35s Semi-Final - wish me luck!

Sunday afternoon - who knows? Parks - weather dependent, soft play or trampoling if it's cold or wet. The days are just packed!

I'm really looking forward to driving this weekend - just got my car back from the garage and after a week of borrowing the missus' shed of a Mini, my 5 year old Merc feels like the height of luxury

Note: I write these for myself as much as anyone else these days, so apologies about the lack of Berghain queue highlights, or plans to ingest clarkycat through my eyeball. Still love reading about other's shenanigans
Got to be happy with a 97th minute winner after being two down today Buckers

As usual the weather here is terrible. It's been blowing hard and snowing on and off. It's even too much wind for cross-country skiing. The forecast for the next few days is more of the same, but colder.

I made a long list of stuff to do today. All I got done was to shave and hit the gym. But the pecs and triceps are coming on. It's only 4 weeks until my first beach holiday this year. I'm seriously thinking about making a profile on a dating site for no other reason than to have somewhere "acceptable" to post selfies taken in the locker room at the gym. <- That excuse is also going to be the only text in the profile.

I somehow doubt many women will find it amusing.

It's been a rather uneventful weekend. Today there was a break in the clouds, and I rushed outside to get a few minutes of sunshine.

When I got to the top of the hill 15 minutes later, and turned around to admire the view, the gap in the clouds was closing fast. A new blizzard was coming in from the sea.

The walk back down was a Captain Scott-styled retreat from the South Pole. I passed by several cheerful Norwegians walking up the hill, unaffected by the strong wind and sharp snow hitting their faces.

Now I'm just counting the days until my holiday in Greece.

Another two days and two nights in Lanz. Trips had it ups and downs mainly due to me being ill prior and for first 3 days.
Currently sat watching the milfs doing Aqua Aerobics, so it’s not all bad.B61B90BB-1324-4F12-B469-CC4185C6754E.jpeg
Nice sunset yesterday evening too.

And Cath is happily reading her holiday away courtesy of Lady Chatterly, and more importantly her lover.

Halfway through this madeira trip. What a friendly, magical island this is. Funchal is filled with quirky bars, and we're going on some extreme sport (tobogan gondola) thing through the streets tmrw.

Sounds interesting. It's a place you can fly to from Glasgow, so might stick it on my list. I never realised it was so far south!

Had a couple of wild weekends before the weekend just gone. Was menna save myself for the cup final but ended up on another level after Liverpool at home (even though we lost) then obvs going down to watch the toon in a cup final was always gunna be heavy (didn’t recover until Friday🥴).

Went out for 4 pints to watch us against city on sat and reluctantly went home then fancied a drink yesterday so me and the mrs had a funday sunday but were home for 5.30 so no hangover today !

Body really needs some chill time but i can’t seem to do it atm:lol:
