Having their best season in years btw. Paradise, romping home on the most difficult session of the week. Capriati killing it. elrow still packing it out. Mondays still holding their own. Bresh has its own crowd, even if it might not be of any interest to this forum. And Pyramid might not be as consistent, but it's a strong session. Seriously, Amnesia is doing great

And, like you mention, a lot in "in-house". That means they take the door and the bar - and which club wouldn't want to be in that position?
 
Wouldn't be surprised if Amnesia try to get Ben Hemsley from Ibiza Rocks for next season

A Cream style night with one room trance and one room either more sonny fodera style or go back to the the Together style lineups

Last 3 visits have been disappointing with sections closed, DJs not there, blah lighting and an odd new, mid heavy sound system from 1996 (elrow, he she them, pyramid). The now only major club without a proper line-array system so blurry crap sound. Lighting is poor (claypaky rejects x8) and visuals (none) since 2007. Production is weak and it ain't current.

If it's disco spectical it's hi, ushuaia et al nailing the high end. if serious music dc10 or the emerging smaller clubs. These days Amnesia delivers neither very well and a high production, destination club next door will kill it, what's the point of amnesia beyond the euros in the wall?

Im (clearly) frustrated amnesia is no longer peak international clubbing, it hasn't evolved. If Ibiza is insta on one side and innovative dance music in the other it's a classic stuck in the middle. 1 night from Jamie Jones and the tail of elrow don't fix nothin

which night/s did you go out of interest?
Look, it's clear that lots of places will need to up their game next summer and beyond to keep pace with the Matutes empire, but Amnesia is still the most common answer when you ask "what's your favourite club in Ibiza?" and it's still the only super-club here you have the option of a proper Techno session and the only real one that can make use of daylight outside of the outdoor venues.
I agree with you, it is playing catch-up in a lot of ways, but then, it also does some of the basics really well
