Look, it's clear that lots of places will need to up their game next summer and beyond to keep pace with the Matutes empire, but Amnesia is still the most common answer when you ask "what's your favourite club in Ibiza?" and it's still the only super-club here you have the option of a proper Techno session and the only real one that can make use of daylight outside of the outdoor venues.
I agree with you, it is playing catch-up in a lot of ways, but then, it also does some of the basics really well

Amnesia is and always has been for me the true essence of raw, hedonistic clubbing and will always be my favourite club on the island!

You can have all of the state of the art lighting, sound, production etc but you cannot recreate the feeling on Amnesia terrace during those moments deep in the night - there’s a magic there you won’t find anywhere else in the world - especially when the daylight comes through the roof - PERIOD!

Yes yes yes!
The sound system on the terrace is frustrating though - although only after I had been to Music On at Pacha when the sound quality blew my tiny frazzled mind.

Amnesia is the best superclub on the island by far and definitely still in peak international clubbing! Come for the closing party and you will change your mind

I think you nailed it for me..

I said some years back that I felt Amnesia is confused and is very dated - I almost want to say that when the raid happened so many years back now, It has never really recovered from that.

I have lost count how many events Amnesia have hosted and given someone a shot at, and the night just fail. That is not a good look

With UNVRS around the corner. I feel like Amnesia is going to be in trouble. I would hope it manages to figure things out but the club is not the club you hear people actively talking about or wanting to visit in my opinion.

HOWEVER!! I actually look towards Amnesia and find the club appealing because I know you will have space to move.
BUT!! It is too quiet and you find that sometimes for example Pyramid is just lacking

Pyramid is the night I know they are investing in heavly as a musicon replacement. But for me it is all over the place. It is lucky dip what night you get when you go

Don’t worry we keep amnesia for us , let the Instagram "clubber " go across the road !
in the past , any club of Ibiza was full 7 days a week! 2,3 good party a week is enough like dc10 for example still doing now ! Amnesia is an Ibiza institution like pacha It’s not going to disappear like that
 
When I wanted to take my gf to experience one of the traditional big clubs of Ibiza, Amnesia was the only one I really wanted to take her to. If it had still been open Space would’ve been in the conversation. Hadn’t been for years myself so wasn’t sure how it was gonna go but really enjoyed Paradise (JJ and Loco Dice b2b on the terrace), we stayed til 6am and it was still packed out, only left to get a taxi a bit easier than when it would’ve finished.

I’m glad it doesn’t have all the visuals n whatever other bollocks they offer at Hi. It’s great as it is and that’s why it’s been going almost 50 years.

The next Es Paradis?

I am not sure business works by let the Instagram clubber go across the road....

They have a bit of an identity problem to overcome I feel, and a night club that is not offering what Pacha or Hi can deliver.

I'd think if you put out a survey this is the order you would get the clubs

1.Pacha
2.Hi
3. Ushuaia
4. DC10
5. Amnesia

Also I like to hear the opinion of my girlfriend as to what she enjoys and for her she isn't keen on DC10 or Amnesia because of the more 'Dirty' feel of the place. I imagine a lot of females feel the same way

Which is why I believe Hi, Pacha and Ushuaia are so successful

I do love that Amnesia is less VIP and more authentic... But I just feel the club is missing a little something
