Well, Hilario's 2-goal gift just put City in the game. Clumsy defenders and that idiot Ballack sealed the win for them! And Shay Given. Damn he's a good goalkeeper.

I guess it's either because he snubbed JT's handshake or because he withdrew from England.

Either way, I thought it was an embarrassment. Bridge was a loyal servant to the club until we flogged him off for an inflated amount of money so he didn't deserve it no matter how loyal people are to JT. I thought he had a very good game as well. Almost... almost... don't begrudge him the victory.

In terms of England still a few questions... who will be partnering Rooney upfront at the World Cup now? Should Gerrard play on the left? Seems wasted to me.
Who will play on the right.. heard Woolcott was poor..

As he said. The difference the other night when Lamps was replaced, SWP and Carrick looked much better.

I think we've got the quality to do well, and the way that Capello doesnt give two hoots about upsetting players, I can see the starting eleven causing a few suprises.

Its the defence that worries me :? Upson just isnt good enough to be startin eleven, maybe not even the bench. Rio has a fookt back, and Terry has looked shaky (though i think he'll be fine come the summer, you dont become bad over night)

If I was Capello I'd be knocking on Carraghers door and doind some groveling.
 
Oh yes. I'm also quite liking the rumours doing the rounds recently Re LFC. Cole would be a good acquisition for free.

And if true about the imminent investment, happy days.

As for the criticism of Lamps. Firstly, he's not fat. That's still one of the most baseless, insipid things I hear in English football. Lest you forget that he had more shots on goal than anyone in the last World Cup. He was the only one on your team trying to score.

Terry is still your best central defender. You just don't go to South Africa without him.
