I don't understand why Southgate didn't pick Grealish. At least he would've given us options on the left and shown a bit of dynamism even if he achieved sweet bugger all.
 
Just back from Cologne, great atmosphere in Germany. Saw Spain v Italy last week, amazing match even if we missed too many chances. Looking good for us though, although we are due to play Germany in quarters.

Before the match we were watching England in a bar, lots off disgruntled England fans. Southgate really is doing a bad job right now, very predictable

Sadly, the Scottish team wasn't nearly as good as its fans :( Let's be kind to them - taking part in the Euros is a once in a generation thing for them 🤣

Their fans are absolutely amazing - I was in Stuttgart yesterday, they city was overtaken by tens of thousands of heavily drinking Scots. I didn't see a single disturbance, let alone fight, everyone was extremely kind. Guess I'll need to revise the "drunk Brits" stereotype 🤣

Overall, this Euro is kinda disappointing, as there are no new surprise wow teams. I am obviously happy Germany is doing slightly better than in the last tournaments 🤣, we'll make it to 1/4 finals if we are lucky. As to who wins in the end, my money is on Spain.
 
I'm enjoying it because of all the fans rather than the football, there's way too much passing sideways and back, where are wingers these days? New rule invented by me, once over the half way line you can't pass back over it, and a max of five passes in your own half then the sixth has to cross that line.
There you go FIFA and I haven't mentioned VAR once.
 
Good playing is not all in footy. Spain played very well , but only one goal against italy. they need too much chances , maybe.
The type cold killer offender is not avaiable very often at this times. In earlier days every big team had such box strikers. Examples are Gerd Mueller, Inzhagi and so on.
