The footy !!

No, the places needs a clear out to be fair.

Be honest you would like to think Hitz would stay as he has been out all season so you would like to think he will help us get back up.

Green may stay too though especially if he retires from international football then he may as well stay where he is. Plus got young family and just had another (clutching at straws here!) so may decided to stay.

Big time clear out. Too many cr@p players on too much cash. I have the wage bill from the 09-10 season and it will make you cry mate.

Yeah I would like to think that the Hitz would help us come straight back.

Well you never know mate but im not holding my breath

I know. Can't blame them, blame the Icelandics and Curbs buying all those old crocks on mega bucks.

Probably still paying Ljungeberg off as well Curbs and Zola. Add Uncle Avi to that and everyone is a nice earner.

Some people wants Curbs back but I don't see how you can employ someone who has sued the club. Would you give a job to an ex employee who sued your firm? I ****in wouldn't that's for sure.

Paddy Kenny - hes been the best keeper in the Championship and kept 25 Clean Sheets this season. The only Clean sheets Green has kept for the majority of the season is by checking hes wiped his bum properly before he goes to bed.

The Championship is a hard league and there so many similarities between WH and when QPR went down 15 years ago. I wouldnt be too confident that its a given you will go straight back up.

No axe to grind with WH there a decent little club.

You are blaming Green unfairly imo mate. Having no real defence to speak of makes it a lot harder to keep a clean sheet!

My money will be on Hiddink.

Exciting final day, very pleased Blackpool went down, shame Mick McCarthy didnt join them.. still maybe next year

was really rooting for blackpool to stay up* - man utd > bunch of spoilsports!

ian holloway > cfc? :D

ancelotti sacking v harsh

the russian seems to be running the place like one of those megalomaniac spanish presidents (eg at Betis) where they change manager every season - why not plan for the long term for a change? =

*gutted for Deportivo too

anyway - enough warmup - the main course is next wkd

Not at all. Those Spanish clubs change managers annually, not biannually

I personally wish he'd left Carlo in place. Stability is a good thing. And you don't become a bad manager overnight.

Would be nice to have Hiddink but I don't think he wants the day-to-day at his age and he's not a long-term option.

Quite an escape by Wigan!

Surely if you have made billions you must have engaged SOME long term planning at some point to have got there!

Imagine in ferguson had been binned when he went a season or two with arsenal / chelsea on top? bonkers...

not a great decision to get rid of ancellotti in my view, they need some stabilty i reckon. And they still need to ship a few of the 'old guard' of players out in my view.

on another point, some of those chelsea players need to have a word with themselves about how they acted to get Coleman sent off yesterday.

Agree re: stability. Also probably time to replace Malouda and Kalou, find a successor for Lamps, and eventually relegate Drogba to super-sub status.

Disagree re: Coleman. Studs-up challenge into Mikel's ankle. There was no question about it.

Yeah - assume you are from the blue half! should have been a straight red - i'd be checking his betting account as is amounted to suicide!

not disputing the challenge from Coleman, was a bad tackle. but the facts are that the ref saw it, awarded the free kick and turned away (as in for the game to carry on) until he and Coleman were surrounded by the hoardes (with lovable Frank at the forefront).

As i say - bad tackle, but the actions of the players left a lot to be desired.

and yes - i am from the blue half..

the scenes at my parents house were tres amusing yesturday. My dad literally on his knees , hands held aloft to the gods......Wolves had been saved

Seems like I remember the players squaring up to each other, not to the ref. And you don't know that his decision to produce a card wasn't the result of a word or two with the linesman.

On our side, Alex was lucky to be on the pitch. No surprise he got subbed.

Fair do's mate......i haven't seen any replays...just speaking from how i viewed it at the game...

Alex was very lucky for sure.....defo subbed before he was sent off.

As someone who lives very close to Blackpool i am more than happy they have been relegated. I think they will go straight down again next season too.
It's unbelievable the amount of my friends they have changed to supporting them this season but will no doubt be back to their original prem club come August.

There is however the chance they may get into the Europa league through the fair play system. That'll be funny with 2 championship sides representing england.
