The move looks set to be complete as long as RVP can agree terms and pass a medical.
Should be a great signing for United as long as he stays injury free.
Great bit of business by Arsenal too. Paid £2.75 8 years ago so a nice return for someone nearing 30 and can be prone to injuries.

It's a FANTASTIC piece of business by Arsenal! Utd are mugs if you ask me. That's surely Ferguson's last delve into the market this transfer window, maybe even this season. Can't be much left in those debt laden coffers. Gotta wonder if there were other areas of his squad which needed more attention?!

Let's be honest, one good season - assuming you ignore his dire form at the Euros, injury plagued the rest, final year of contract & approaching his thirties - you got over £20m for him!!! Daylight robbery. No way will he have another season like last season again.
Now they have £24m in the kitty, I wonder who Wenger isn't going to spend it on (again!)
Seriously though, if he doesn't buy a goalkeeper this time around then I really have to question his standing in the game.

OK, but if he DOES have another season like this one, and Rooney is firing on all cylinders, how devastating will their attack be? I'm genuinely worried about it. 
Only upside is Scholes and Giggs can't possibly last much longer and I don't think Sir Alex has properly replaced them yet.

RVP is a big signing but also a risky one !! Little to no resale value , massive wages and that lingering doubt about whether or not he will get injured.
Hearing Sahin is close to joining us ( Liverpool) on loan , thats a really good move if true. Our midfield is looking juicy !!
