The Footy... (2011-2012 season)

El classico was ho hum (did not like the result), Barcelona deserved the win. Arsenal wasted many chances but were saved by a cracking goal by Van Persie. One touch quality of the highest order.

Real started the game so well ( quite obvious with the quick goal) but for the whole of the first half they were pressing Barca really well closing them down quickly and causing them to make alot of mistakes.

Stopped doing this second half and let Barca take control, was such a shame.

Not to worry too much, looks like the UK press have yet again cocked it up... They have a buy-back IF we want to sell...
Ah sheez. I think you're right. It's a right of first refusal if we sell him. I keep hearing the opposite so much from friends I'd forgotten. He signed a 4-year contract with us.

Looking forward to what promises to be, a cracking game tonight. :)

Made even more enjoyable with the news this morning that Anelka will be gone in January:) Personally I always thought he was overrated and a waste of space in Chelsea.

For me, he will never be forgiven for the way he took his penalty in Moscow.
Not sad to see him go, although I'm not sure what we're going to do in Jan-Feb with the African Cup. Lukaka isn't quite up to it yet, I'm afraid.

HOY GETS GRIEF FROM SPURS FANS

One is a four-time Olympic champion and a face of the 2012 Games and the other a Premier League referee - but it appears some football fans are having trouble telling them apart.

Cyclist Sir Chris Hoy revealed on Monday he has been on the receiving end of insulting Twitter messages from Tottenham supporters who have mistaken him for Chris Foy.

Foy was in charge of Spurs' 2-1 Barclays Premier League defeat at Stoke on Sunday, when the visitors had an Emmanuel Adebayor goal wrongly ruled out for offside, two penalty appeals for handball turned down and Younes Kaboul harshly sent off.

"Just for the record 1) I don't need glasses and 2) I do not lead a double life as an English premiere league ref. That's Chris Foy," Hoy, who won three gold medals at the Beijing Olympics in 2008, posted on Twitter.

He continued to protest his innocence, adding: "Still getting some rather amusing grief from Spurs fans! On the plus side I've learned some new 4 letter words today.

Foy did make some dodgy calls Sunday, I didn't see Hoy any where near the park. The case of Spurs fans pilling on and not having a clue.

Funny, I don't remember any uproar from the spurs fans at the same game last year (which was just as controversial by the way).

Plus Chris Foy was in charge of that one as well...:lol::lol::lol:

Great win, but the fans did seem to think they had actually won something at the end of the game, couldn't believe how much they were celebrating!

I believe this where the Citeh fans are meant to ask the Chelsea fans when the souvenir DVD is out:lol:

some of our lot should be firmly locked under the stairs...

Ref was ****. Lino was ****. we were **** first half. onwards and upwards!

Last night after the Chelsea Win "Thankyou Chelsea" was trending Worldwide on Twitter:)

Seems the blue part of Manchester is disliked just as much as the red.

Why is this.... or was it just Red Fans that started it. It seemed to be a broad section of supporters contributing.

Just shows how far we have come, ie the 12 men of Chelsea, securing a narrow win over 10 man City and celebrating like they had won league. I have checked though and we are still top!
