I wore one of them Cafe Mambo football style tops and also a Space t shirt when I went. You'll have no problem getting in with Khakis
 
lately PdB has been hit by power cuts a few times. sankeys has suffered of this before, but I have a good friend who went to black coffee at hi last night - she counted 8 (!!!) power cuts.

I've been at a bar/club in Vietnam and only had about 5 throughout a night and during a storm!

without any kind of guarantee, I think it will be the weekend after that.

ANTS closing (over at ushuaïa) and black coffee closing (at hï) are both on saturday 30th september. so I think they will do their actual club closing parties the weekend after that...ushuaïa probably on sat 7th october and then hï on 8th october. I´m sure they will confirm dates soon so we´ll know whether I´m right with my assumptions.

What's people thoughts on how Hi's first season has gone? I don't think there has been much of a buzz created by the place. Maybe its because it will always be in spaces shadow or because the place is a disappointment to people.

Wonder if they will change things next year?

Also, looking at the closing line ups, just makes you appreciate how class Space closing parties were. Pure special and I doubt anything will ever compare.

I couldn't agree more with this. Both Space opening and closing 2016 were two of the best parties I've ever attended. Pure magic that I literally cannot describe with words.

As much as Amnesia has always been my favorite, I really do miss that club.
 
considering everything, and especially the fact there simply are people around that will never give the place a chance, they had a really good first season. all of their nights have done fine.

I think I´ve said this already at some point, but I´ll say it again. it´s dangerous to generalise, but in this case I will:

- most of the young people (most but not everyone) that have never been to space do like hï. generation instagram loves the big production, they love most of the acts playing there. they don´t have the comparison on how space´s main room sound system sounded.

- on the other hand, a lot of the old space lovers (again, a lot of people, but not everyone) aren´t fond of hï...because the sound system doesn´t come close, because they are mature clubbers that care more about that (sound quality) than the production, because of it being all new and thus still pretty soulless (that´s a bit harsh I know, but that´s how it feels to me personally I´m afraid) etc. currently also this club could be anywhere in the world - to me it doesn´t ooze ibiza feel.

it is indeed going to be interesting to see whether and what they will change for next year.

Space defiantly raised the bar with their opening and closings. I would have thought now would have been a great time for Amnesia to try and match what space has done.

The club certainly doesn't have an ibiza feel. I just didn't find when I have been out to Ibiza this summer, people talking about the club or the nights it had. Maybe its the people I hang out with that have no interest but also when I was sitting around the pool etc, people never seemed to really bring the club or its nights into a conversation as they do other nights. Its the same back home.
