The building formerly known as Space --> HÏ Ibiza

they don´t publish the set times in advance for hi.

armin plays 2-5am normally

andrea oliva (tuesday nights) depends a bit, last night he played 12-3 I´m told.

have you ever seen any official capacity of any of the clubs? space had it outside at the entrance but it's the only venue I ever saw publicly announcing it
Well no but there are enough places that tell you RA says amnesia 5000, Priv 10,000, Pacha 3000 but nothing on Hi

just to name and example... I'm not 100% sure, but I think I remember space's official aforo (capacity) was 3548 persons or similar. I can't recall how many times I was in there with double the amount of that inside the venue...

Fair point! I assume any official capacity has to be a safe and comfortable amount of people not the shoulder to shoulder you actually get!

Wrong thread I know but why is it clubs are aloud to fill them wall to wall so consistently, its a major health risk and if a fire was to break out there would not doubt be a lot of deaths. I know this may change next year with the new crowd control measures but why has it taken this long when surely the authorities have known its an issue for years!

If Fabric in London filled there club to the same extent it would be shut down for good within a week no doubt!

I suspect the money they make far outweighs any potential fine.
Surely in this day and age it would be much more than a fine if a fire broke out and killed x amount of people. Surely they would be looking at corporate manslaughter or very serious charges since they had filled a club to double what would be deemed safe

I somehow doubt they keep accurate records of how many people are inside. Also helps with the amount of tax paid if you don't keep accurate records of how many people are coming through the door....

Agreed but if the situation I mention happened I'm sure you could quite easily tell that the club was over packed. If they had a safe amount of people they would be able to evacuate in a safe way with little people being seriously injured.

Money will almost always win out in Ibiza.

I always get the feeling of it's a "deal with it if it arrives" situation with regards to emergencies in clubs.
