Talk me through your first day!

it depends on the music played by djs...Ants used to be on my top bottom list ...& still :D i may be back closing, i dont think to plan ants party july Aug as i need to rest...
afim , i miss the zoo project on saturday as music in zoo is more my kind, house tech house & some anthems...
sat afternoon u got music on after party if u got the wristbands, i hope some music on mates's fan will pick some spare ones for me in august :cool:, Ocean beach soulheaven party with famous house Dj (Sandy rivera 's day saved for me :p)
 
Day 1
"Did you turn the gas off?" "No, I thought you did..."
Animated exchange with stressed Vueling staff at El Prat Airport ("She must pay €100 extra for that case")
Despair at size of hire car - futile pleading with car hire
Raised eyebrows at state of room - mysterious hairs, stains, odours and unidentifiable insects
Argument with other half ("I knew I shouldn't have left it to you!" "Well why didn't you do it then?")
Evening meal ("Don't look at me, I'm sure this was recommended on Spotlight" "Well why are we even on holiday if you're always on that bloody forum?")

I am going solomon Sunday, we should arrange a meet up! Destino I have been to when Solomon was playing but haven't been on a Sunday... Yeh it will be easier for pacha but I heard zoo is really good but never been either

how can u do if u don't like the music in destino?
i ve been to Zoo 10 times at least last 2 years, 1 time destino rumors.

In thoery - I divide how much I have to spend, put aside what i think I'll need for the ferries, and then divide it up + 1 extra day. That extra day gets added to day 1 - as that's always the most expensive (getting the bubbles in, snacks, drinks, beach bags, suncream, sun brolly if there aren't any lying around) + the normal food/drinks/bail money. Put in a little envelope one for each day and kept in the safe. It works!!!

Until you get to that sports shop and they have just the £60 trainers you want. Still, that's what cards were for, and you'd buy them at home, right??

Although to be honest baggage restrictions do have an effect on what I spend, I'm not buying a donkey and paying £30 to shove it in Jet2's hold.

It can flaming walk at that price.

:lol: ... need to hire a car at the airport and go off to have a great time somewhere on 1st day - relax, catch some rays and swim then check in later after lunch. Just park up somewhere very low risk like the villa Estate above Cala Codolar (West coast one) & remember the car key trick I taught you. If you stay away from anywhere with looky lookies (Salinas etc) or campervans (Es Vedra etc) you're very unlikely to have any issues with stuff in your car if truth be told !!

I do this too in Ibiza. If I'm renting a boat or doing any trips etc I put the money for each thing in a separate envelope before I fly and keep it separate to the rest of my budget. If something unexpected comes up I really want to do it goes on a card.

I didn't bother segregating money but tried in Zakynthos over the weekend not to squander needlessly, didn't use bank card and came home with 200 Euros left in my pocket. Managed 4 days on 400 Euros expenses eating out well enough every night, 1 day's private boat hire with captain, flyboard session and all car diesel / sundries. Getting a private pool villa for 130 Euros for 3 nights was the icing on the cake. I could easily spend 530 Euros just on a boat with fuel and no captain for a day in Ibiza, that got me villa and everything else for 4 days in Greece :lol: ... was just a reminder how easy it is to blow a king's ransom on the White Isle !
