I definitely felt this when I went 2 weeks ago. Hadn't seen him for 3 years and was reminded why his party might be best on the island. Top 1 atleast. Wasn't set on going tonight but now that it's just Solomun makes it very very tempting.

I hope you have a great evening mate. I do understand the situation you’re in when you’re with someone not up for it or into a night or DJ. It’s really tricky. Hope you both enjoy somehow.

Thanks! She's starting to feel more up for it now after some drinks in the hotel so it should be a good one! Tbh we are are both tired after ushuaia last night too so just needed to get out, sitting about was just making us not fancy it more!

Ahem. No, he definitely is not. By your own admission, you haven’t heard him in Ibiza this year.

The guy has bought tix for Jamie xx and he isn’t turning out. You guys need to fix that for him.

I went last Sunday, and it was classic incredible Solomun! If you are not currently into that tech – house edgy sound, then I understand. I found myself saving track after track, as he went next level. I literally stayed until I had to pack my bag and fly home to Miami.

He has not skipped a beat since before the pandemic. I highly suggest you go see him this summer

They refunded my ticket... at half nine when I was in ibiza town, got to the entrance not knowing this and the ticket didn't work. Connected to WiFi to find out they had cancelled it even though they told me they couldnt earlier. It showed up as a 50 refund so I thought they had partially refunded me as a goodwill with the headliner pulling out but then the rest of it was refunded later, had to buy new tickets for 40 euros more since i was there now and didn't really have any other options. Not the best experience but whatever, pacha was absolutely rammed, in fairness solumun played some great tunes and we made a good night anyways!

Edit. Just want to say ibiza spotlight have been really helpful following on from this mix up and got me on the guestlist for amnesia the next day as well! Absolutely brilliant from them going out there way with this. Had two crazy nights and so glad we made them both now instead of not going to any!

Artist no-shows (DJs or live acts not performing even though they have been announced to appear) do not generally entitle for refunds. However, if a headlining artist is not performing for whatever reason, it is the club or promoter's decision whether a partial refund is granted. We always keep our party calendar up to date with any line-up modifications, but last minute changes can happen.

That’s not the point. The point is being told to suck it up and get on with it by a mod after he spent a small fortune through IS. It’s not really on.

And to be fair, neither is that policy that you posted.

But fair play of fixing the refund with the guy. That’s all I was suggesting.

as McRackin correctly states, a change in DJ line up doesn't generally entitle for a refund since DJ line ups are subject to change.

in the specific case though, both pacha and spotlight have refunded various tix last night to people who did not wanna attend anymore because of the change in the line up.

Ok, so last night was fantastic. He's still very much top of his game. For someone who has solidified his presence as one of the world's leading DJs he still manages to be avantgarde and not stay with a static sound. He's moving away (at least last night) from the very flowy arpegiated sound and plays a lot of those Adam Ten style, staccato metallic bassline pieces. I didn't recognize a single tune, it all seemed new or obscure. Stayed till the end when I could barely walk after dancing for 5 hours straight with only a brief interlude for a margarita on the roof terrace.
 
So glad I ended up going to this, started out not knowing who Solomun is and now I'm spending Saturday night watching his sets on YouTube and adding all the track IDs to my playlists!!
