Solomun+1 2018

Attended last night for Solomun and Lawrence.

First things first, Lawrence did nothing for me personally. He’s warm up set didn’t hit the mark, I felt like when Solomun took to the decks the room was desperate for a new musical direction. Lacking any remote kind of energy!

Solomun himself was very good. Not the best set I’ve ever heard from him, but even at his worst he’s very good!

Sitting round the pool trying to get some sleep now. Haven’t managed so far and need to start thinking about Circoloco and Pyramid in a few hours!

Nice!! I love solomon at Pacha.....he gets a lot of stick on here....cant wait till I go this Sunday

As you can see from previous posts I am not surprised Lawrence didn't quite hit the spot for some. Personally I friggin love his sound. I'm a massive lover of the smallville type sound..proper modern deep house music but I don't think it is a sound that would work in a big club in Ibiza. I have been on almost empty dancefloors at pacha in the past listening to the likes of Larry Heard and Theo Parrish, you can't get much bigger or better than these two for deep house music and they fell on deaf ears. Very sad but no real surprise. Good to see Solomon taking such risks though.

it is a supermarket in san antonio.

all jokes are welcome but if people don't get them then please help explain and be a little helpful not always just taking the piss.

A lot of humour is based on esoteric comments, hardly taking the piss.

The last time I went he was B2B with Hosh. Musically the best night I've had on the island. On point from the moment I got in until the moment I left... Last night not so much. ...

Last year I went to Solomon at pacha it was Patrick baumel to start. He really bored me... Couldn't wait for Solomon to come on and he did not disappoint good music although he did not play the melodic stuff at all but it was a really good night!!
