RESISTANCE IBIZA [Sasha & Digweed] @ Privilege 2017

We've also had a spell the last few years where Ibiza has been the in place to go for youngsters. People that would normally go Marbella or Dubai for short breaks changed to Ibiza. The kind that went to dc10 for a picture rather than to dance. Those sort of people move on. Maybe numbers are down in clubs but if everyone there is getting involved and dancing is that a sign the sheep have moved on. From social media I've noticed Mykonos has been very very popular this year.

I randomly got a 40% discount off Playasol hotels for last second booking in August which I thought was weird. It got it right after coming back. I guess things were a bit slow.

Maybe the whole island need to sharpen its pencil like most other businesses World wide.
Some of the prices I've seen are eye watering and although I've been saying the same for 20+ years and kept returning, you do get the feeling 95% of bars and clubs are now trying to wring every last euro out of the punters and years ago it wasn't like that, you had that choice. Some of the greatest nights in my Ibiza history were on the cheap, yet I still went to pacha and splurged too.
Maybe that lack of quality cheap nights to compliment the biggies has had a detrimental effect? Just a theory.
For what it's worth I'll be at Resistance tomorrow night and I'm really looking forward to it.

Don underestimate the tons of new festivals popping up around Europe each year.
Many people simply don't do holidays on a island anymore and do some festival hopping instead.
There where never more quality festivals than in 2017. Even the small underground festivals do sell out way advance of time.

Yeh loads more, also you have the djs doing the nights in ibiza in other cities, music on in amsterdam, jamie jones paradise tour, el row doing their tours, same parties, sometimea same djs and prob cheaper than ibiza

Just how many of us are going to Resistance tomorrow? Seems like a fair few of us are!
Yea I don't see the promoters having any number issues tonight. Here's hoping for "pleasantly busy" and not rammed to the rafters. Old? Me?

Vista opens at 10, but do they get anyone through the doors?

We arrived two weeks ago at just before midnight and hardly anyone around ... main room opened at midnight and took a good while to fill up .. Vista room wasn't very busy when we arrived or later on but bare in mind that this was in August same night as Eric Prydz closing so should be busier now ...

Same for the opening. I got in early thinking both rooms would open at 10. Was pretty quite in both until about 1am.

WoW! This beat my expectations 10X. I'm only just pulling myself together but will give a fuller review later. S&D were in full on Techno onslaught..... and Privi looked the best I've seen it in 10+ years....

Totally agree mate this night exceeded all expectations. Was surprised how hard sasha and diggers went. Resistence crew did a fantastic job in there - dancers, lights and sound were all excellent.

Also nice to be back in Privilege after 10 years!! Great club, has a true Balearic feel to the place.

I hope these guys try again next year or if Coxy gets himself there all season even better. :)
